"Woah! Is that a carnival!?" Danny looked at it in awe. There were food stands, rides, games, and colorful lights decorating the entire thing.

"Oh, I didn't know the carnival was in town!" Nemuri smiled as she dragged Aizawa, Yamada, and Danny over to the ticket stand.

"Not, I'm not spending my day off in a crowded place full of screaming children" Aizawa turned back around but stopped when Danny grabbed ahold of his arm.

"Pretty please! I've only been to one once but that was when I was like 3! I couldn't even ride anything because I was too short, you know since I was a toddler!" Danny pouted and used his best puppy dog eyes.

"What do you mean 'was'? You're still shorter than most 9 years olds" Dannys' mouth dropped at the audacity Aizawa had to say that to his face.

Yamada scolded Aizawa for 'bullying his nephew' while Nemuri was laughing at Danny's face. Danny crossed his arms and turned away, grumbling profanities under his breath.

"Oh stop grumbling you know I'm just joking" Aizawa laughed and ruffled his hair. Normally this would have been a surprise, Aizawa showing emotions. However, Yamada and Nemuri both noticed how much Danny had influenced their lives. Nemuri smiled and motioned towards the ticket booth.

"Well, we better hurry up and get some tickets before they all run out" Danny looked at her with an excited smile before running towards it.

"NO RUNNING! IF YOU GET LOST IM BUYING ONE OF THOSE KID LEASHES AND YOU ARE WEARING IT!" Danny immediately stopped at Aizawa's threat.

He knew he wasn't joking.

"Danny's my roller coaster buddy!" Nemuri exclaimed before the other two had the chance too.

"Fine, I'm riding alone" Yamada looked hurt at Aizawa's statement.

"B-But why!? You know I hate going on rides alone!"

"And I hate being puked on" The tired hero deadpanned.

"..fair enough"

"Can we ride the merry-go-round?" Danny asked with his puppy dog eyes. Nemuri immediately nodded and dragged them towards the carousel.

After the carousel, they played a few carnival games. Yamada won a stuffed little ghost which he gave to Danny. Nemuri won a free ticket to play another game and Danny won himself a goldfish which he named Marigold.

"Let's ride a roller coaster now!" Yamada exclaimed in excitement before dragging them towards one of the rollercoasters.

"A-Actually how about we ride the merry-go-round again?" Danny stammered out, looking everywhere but at the three adults.

Aizawa grinned mischievously.
"Now now, don't tell me that you're afraid of roller coasters?"

Danny looked at him sheepishly before nodding his head. Nemuri looked surprised.
"But can't you fly?"

"Yes, however, I don't think I would be able to use my powers after the shock of being thrown out of my seat before falling hundreds of feet to my death- second death" Danny looked at Aizawa with pleading eyes.

"You watched scary roller coaster accidents on YouTube again, didn't you?"

"...maybe"

"After I told you not to?"

"...perhaps"

"As punishment, we're riding one"

"You give cruel punishments"

Danny flopped on the ground as soon as they stepped off the ride. He hugged his stuffed ghost tightly to his chest before sobbing out a cry of relief.

"For fucks sakes kid, that one was the kiddy one, there wasn't even a slope; it was just a circle"

"If you force me to go on another scary ride I'm going to make you sit next to me where I will puke all over you" Danny stared at the hero's face with a serious expression.

"You're bluffing"

"Wanna risk it?"

"I'll let you win just this once"

Danny was deciding on what to ride next when he saw a familiar face.
"Izuku!" Danny cheered when he saw his classmate. Izuku smiled and waved before turning to the woman next to him. Judging by the similarity between the two, he assumes she was his mom.

The woman smiled and nodded before they made their way towards them. Izuku's mom smiled warmly at the group before introducing herself.

"Hi, I'm Midoriya Inko, Izuku's told me a lot about your class. You must be Danny, Izuku wouldn't stop talking about your quirk! It must be really special" Inkos smile never wavered while Izuku began to blush in embarrassment at being called out.

"Nice to meet you! But I wouldn't say it's anything special" at this, Aizawa snorted and Izuku looked at him in bewilderment.

"How about you kids go on some rides while us adults talk" Nemuri shooed them away before beginning to converse with Inko. They left once Yamada started to beg Aizawa to ride a rollercoaster with him. He had left his stuffed ghost and Marigold with Yamada.

"So what ride do you wanna go on Danny kun?" Izuku asked. Danny looked around for a non-life-threatening ride he has yet to go on.

"I've already ridden them all, what about you?" Izuku looked around for a ride. His eyes brightened when he saw one.

"How about that one! It's the biggest and scariest one in the park!" Izuku looked too excited for Danny to decline. Hiding his fear, he nodded in agreement.

'I'm gonna fully die I'm gonna fully die I'm gonna fully die' was his entire thought process through the half-hour line. Danny nearly fainted at the sight of how steep and tall the slope was.

"C'mon Danny! It's our turn! Are you excited?" Izuku asked in excitement as he tugged him towards the cart. Danny mumbled a barely comprehensible 'nuh uh'.

When they were almost seated, a worker forced Danny to check his height. Much to his dismay, he barely passed the height check.

"Congratulations, most fourth graders aren't tall enough to ride!" The worker gave Danny a smile which quickly disappeared when Danny grudgingly informed that he was not, in fact, a fourth-grader but a high schooler.

"I-I'm so sorry" The worker bowed in apology.

Danny disliked this strongly.

"A-Are you sure you're okay??? Should I get Aizawa??" Izuku frantically asked after the second time Danny nearly puked. That ride messed his stomach up. He shouldn't have eaten that Taiyaki.

"No, I'm fine. I'm all good" Danny reassured, stepping out of the bathroom. Luckily he had managed to refrain from puking his guts out. After washing his hands, the two walked out of the carnival restroom and began to look for another ride.

Danny froze when he heard a yelp coming from behind the bathroom building. Izuku heard it too so they checked it out.
"I wonder what's going on," Danny asked as they made their way towards the back of the building.

When they got there they were greeted by a familiar and heartbreaking sight. A group of bullies, who looked like a bunch of delinquents, were pinning a smaller kid to the side of the building by his shirt. The kid was a boy with brown hair and green eyes and he seemed to be in pain. His hair was covered in dirt and bruises covered his face and arms. The bullies looked to be a few years older than them and the brown-haired kid looked a year or so younger.

One of the bullies took notice of the two teens and scoffed.
"What're you looking at? Mind your fucking business or we'll beat you up to, just like this useless quirkless nobody here" the kid winced at the word quirkless, as did Izuku and Danny.

Izuku shook in a surprising amount of anger. It wasn't like him to be violent, but looking at the kid brought back a swarm of unpleasant memories, to the both of them. Both were once that poor quirkless kid, and like hell were they going to sit by and let him get hurt just like everyone did to them.

"Like hell you are! Who are you to pick on someone just because they don't have a quirk? Is that all you- you dicks care about? Is that all anybody fucking cares about??" It was a rhetorical question, of course, the answer was given to him in his nearly 14 years of existence. "You shallow fucks should look deeper than that! You guys may possess good quality quirks but once you take that away what's left?" Danny took a threatening step forward, as did Izuku, who looked at Danny thoughtfully.

"Hey watch it, shorty" One of the bullies spat, also taking a step forward. He threw a punch but Danny easily blocked it before throwing one himself. Izuku raced towards the boy and helped him up while Danny distracted the delinquents.

"HEY! What's going on over there?" At the sound of a new, authoritative voice the group of delinquents ran off. Danny and Izuku stayed to help the kid.

"T-Thankyou.. normally everyone just ignores what they do to me" The kid smiled at them thankfully.

"No need to thank us, we're just doing what everyone should. It's not right to be bullied just because you don't meet up to society's standards" Izuku replied with a smile of his own. Danny nodded in agreement, a little upset he didn't get to throw in a few more punches. However that's probably for the best, he didn't want to get in any trouble for fighting.

The authoritative voice ended up belonging to a carnival worker. Once she heard of what happened she told security to look out for a suspicious group of older kids. After thanking them once more, the kid ran off to find his family.

Danny and Izuku both stood in silence as they watched the kid disappear from sight. After a few more minutes, Izuku turned towards Danny with a knowing look.

"Danny Kun... how long were you quirkless for?"
