Aizawa paced around inside the Revengers Headquarters. After trying, and failing, to contact any available pro heroes in Japan to save his kid, he began to panic even more then he originally was.
Yamada and Nemuri were still on the phone, trying to contact anybody to help. Aizawa was banned from trying to contact anybody after he broke his phone in frustration. Now he was resorting to pacing around the fancy high tech building, silently panicking.
His kid was currently in the hands of a crazy psychopath who had been obsessed with him since he was a child. His kid was in the hands of a creepy psycho, doing who knows what to him. His kid was in trouble and he was thousands of miles away- unable to protect his kid like he promised he always would-
"Want some coffee?" Aizawa jumped a bit, quickly turning around to face Metal Man. The man wasn't wearing his metal armor and was currently offering him a mug full of steaming coffee.
Aizawa nodded his thanks as he took the cup of hot liquid. Metal Man, also known as Stony Stank outside of his armor, sat down at a nearby bench with his own cup of liquid strength.
"The rest of the Revengers are currently trying to get you guys on the first flight to Japan, we were able to pull some strings and a helicopter should arrive within the next few hours" Stony informed.
"Thank you, we greatly appreciate it" Aizawa told him, hands clenched tight around the hot coffee mug. They sat in silence for a few minutes before Stony spoke once more.
"Listen, I know what you're going through.. Not exactly, but pretty damn close. I nearly lost my kid, Night-monkey, during our last villain fight. He's a hero too, despite how much I tried to prevent him to become one. He's too damn stubborn.." Stony trailed off, clearly not used to comforting people.
Aizawa gave him a tired smile and nodded his head, understanding what the hero was trying to explain.
"I've never been so scared before, I've fought hundreds of villains, most who had done indescribable things but even the thought of losing that kid makes all those other moments feel like a walk in the park" Aizawa set his coffee down, stomach too upset to drink it.
"Welcome to parenthood" Stony mused, raising his glass before taking a long drink. The two sat in silence before a thought popped into Aizawa's head. He had heard rumors that Metal Man was able to fly faster than a plane.
He immediately turned towards the other hero who startled a bit.
"Is it true that your suit can fly faster than a plane?" He asked, eyes conveying his true meaning behind his question.
Stony set his mug down and lightly glared at the stressed hero.
"If I get that suit back with even one scratch on it, I'll hunt your ass down"
"Fair enough"

Sam's eyes widened when her best-friend pushed her and Tucker into the ghost portal, sacrificing himself. The two friends landed on a nearby floating island. She heard Tucker grunt as he hit the ectoplasmic floor, which was surprisingly hard, and again when she fell on top of him.
"That idiot" Sam cried out and stood back up, running towards the open portal. Sadly, she only made it a few feet before it closed back up once more; leaving their friend trapped with several adults who wanted nothing more than to see him hurt.
Sam stood still for a few seconds before her legs gave out on her and she collapsed onto her knees. Neither spoke as they took in all that had happened within the past five minutes. Tucker slowly began to get up and make his way towards his friend.
"We need to start searching for frostbite as soon as- Sam?" Tucker paused what he was saying when he noticed Sam's breathing becoming labored. She looked over at him and his heart clenched, her eyes were full of unshed tears and her face looked paler than it usually was.
"They're going- they're going to kill him tuck- they're going to kill him and there's nothing we can do-" Tucker stared at his friend as she completely fell apart. Tears began streaming down her face and she began to hyperventilate.
His heart broke at seeing his best-friend, one of the strongest people he knew, in such a state. He felt hopeless, he felt useless as he watched his friend slowly break.
"God! They're going to fucking torture him!" Sam gripped the sides of her head, hands fisting her hair, and began to have a full blown panic attack.
Tucker's eyes widened and immediately grabbed hold of her shoulders.
"Sam, Sam you're having a panic attack, can you hear me? Sam?" Tucker's own breathing quickened when Sam made no notion that she heard him.
He felt even more useless in that moment. He didn't know how to help someone through a panic attack, the only time he's witnessed someone having one was at his cousin's funeral 6 years ago.
Not knowing what else to do, he pulled her into a hug. Her head rested on his chest, but she only began hyperventilating more.
"Sam I need you to breathe, match my breathing okay? Deep breath In," Tucker took a deep breath, chest rising. "And out" Tucker's chest fell. He continued doing that until he noticed Sam start to copy his breathing.
They continued to do that until Sam was able to calmly breathe on her own. Tucker stopped his deep breathing and looked down at his best-friends face. Her eyes were half shut and swollen from crying, her body was lax from exhaustion. What hurt him the most, however, was the look of defeat on her face.
"It's my fault" she said, voice cracking.
Tucker's eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.
"What is?" He softly asked.
"..it was my idea, Tucker" Sam looked at him, face full of guilt.
"Sam-"
"I told Danny to fix his invention " Her voice cracked at the end of her sentence and a fresh wave of tears began pouring down her face. Tucker stayed quiet, a confused expression on his face. They didn't start hanging out with Danny until he became Phantom, even then it was only when Danny was phantom to avoid suspicion from the town.
Sam closed her eyes and sighed, Tucker didn't know how Danny had gotten his 'quirk'. Danny never told either of them, but Sam had figured it out pretty quickly with some help from Lilith. The next thing she has to say hurt more, she refused to look at her friends face as she began to speak once more.
"I also knew someone was hurting him before the news about the Fentons came out"
Four Years Ago
"Samantha! Where are you? SAMANTHA?" 11-year-old sam stayed silent as her mom ran past the bush she was hiding in. Her mom was trying to force her to play with a group of kids she didn't like. They kept on making fun of other kids and she didn't like that. She tried telling her parents that but they didn't care, 'kids will be kids' was their only response.
She only moved once she couldn't hear her mom shouting her name anymore. She stood up and brushed the dirt and twigs off her dress and began to walk the opposite direction her mom had ran.
She made sure not to be seen by her father and the other kids' parents as she walked through the park. She stopped once she came across a stream and sat down on a nearby boulder. There, she kicked off her uncomfortable pink flats and put her feet in the cold water.
She knew she couldn't stay there long, but she had to get away from her parents for a few minutes.
"Stupid a-listers" Sam grumbled to herself. The 'a-listers' were the group of kids her parents wanted her to play with. They also came from rich families like hers which is the only reason why her mom insisted she befriended them. Repeatedly, Sam made it very clear she was not interested but her parents didn't care. They took her to the park with a promise to hang out together as a family but instead turned it into a play date. They had tricked her. She shouldn't of agreed to go the second they told her to keep Lilith at home.
Sam continued to grumble to herself until she heard someone sniffling. It sounded like it came from the other side of the stream so she stood up and began wading through the water and toward the other side. Luckily it wasn't that deep, the water only coming up just below her knee.
When she made it to the other side she got out of the water and began looking around for the source of the sound.
"Hello?" She asked when the sniffling became louder. The sniffling stopped and she heard some rustling come from a nearby bush.
She walked over behind the bush and found a dark haired boy around her age sitting on the ground with his arms around his knees which were tucked into his chest. His face was buried In between his knees and his body shook as he silently cried.
"Are you okay?" She asked, sitting down next to him. He sat up, startled, and looked at her with a panicked expression. She frowned once she saw his face, his left eye was bruised and swollen. His lip was cut but looked like the bleeding had stopped awhile ago.
"What happened? Are you being bullied?" She asked, trying to keep the anger out of her voice as she once again thought of the a-listers. It wouldn't surprise her if they were the ones who left the bruise on the boys face.
"..Bullied?" He seemed confused.
"Yeah, is someone being mean and hurting you?" She asked once more.
After a minute, the boy nodded his head.
"Yeah.. they're really mean to me.. I dunno why" The boy looked looked at her with a confused expression. She frowned when she noticed his pupils were bigger than they probably should be. She let it go when the boy began to speak once more.
"They've always been mean to me, always.." he tucked his head in between his knees once more.
"Have you told anyone about it?"
The boy nodded his head but didn't move from his position.
"Yeah.. my teacher, but she didn't' believe me.." his voice came out mumbled but she heard him anyways.
She frowned, how could a teacher not believe their student with something like this?
"My nana told me that if anyone was hurting me, I should go to someone I can trust! They'll believe you, unlike your meanie teacher"
Finally the boy looked at her once more.
"Hmm.. okay!" He smiled at her but it didn't look like a happy smile. That made her frown.
"Is something else bothering you?" The eleven year old asked.
"Huh? Oh, I guess.. my parents' project that they've been working on for years broke and they're really sad about it. I wanna help but I dunno how" He explained. He wasn't crying anymore but his arms were still wrapped around his legs as if he was trying to comfort himself.
"Why not help try to fix it?" She suggested.
The boy thought about what she said for a moment.
"I guess I can do that, I dunno how to fix it, but I can give it a try.. hey where are your shoes?" He pointed at her bare feet.
"Huh? Oh, they're on the other side of-" she stopped when the boy suddenly hid his face in between his knees again.
"Are you okay?" She asked once more, growing more and more concerned.
"Yeah.. jus' dizzy, and my head hurts'" the boy mumbled.
Sam thought for a moment. Large pupils, bruised face, confused, and dizzy.. she remembered one time where her nana hit her head really hard and had those symptoms. She couldn't remember what it was called though.
"Did your bullies hurt your head?" She asked.
"I dunno.. I can't remember-"
"Samantha! There you are!" Suddenly Sam's mom appeared standing behind the bush they were next to. Her mom let out a gasp and grabbed her arm, tugging the young girl into a standing position.
"Look at your dress! It's filthy! And where are your shoes? You are in big trouble missy! How many times have we told you not to run off like that? Seriously, look at how dirty you are" her mother continued to rant as she pulled Sam further away from the boy. She looked back over toward the bush and found the spot empty. She furrowed her eyebrows, where did he go?
"I hope he beats the crap out of his bullies.." she mumbled to herself.
"What was that!?" Her mother snapped.
"Nothing" Sam grumbled, looking away from the bush.
