Peter and Tony stepped into the living room, nervousness spread throughout both of them.

"Anthony Edward Stark," A voice called out from the kitchen, "It's 12 in the morning and you just leave the building? In your suit? Without telling anyone?"

Peter watched as Tony looked down shyly kicking his leg back and forth.

It was a sight Peter never thought he would see. He grinned at Tony.

"Hi." Tony called out, smiling. "I... uh, it was important. So, uh.... I brought something back... like a... person."

Pepper slowly walked out from the kitchen, Rhodey trailer behind. She eyed the two suspiciously, "Who is this?"

"Remember a couple days ago? The kid I brought to the tower but he left before you meant him?"

"I was not informed of this..." Rhodey whispered, quietly.

"Oh..." Pepper sighed, "Alright. Can I talk to you privately, Tony?"

"Okay... fine, fine." Tony took a deep breathe before adding, "Meet Rhodey."

Peter nodded, staring at the floor. He could hear Pepper asking Tony a bunch of questions with his super hearing but he tuned it out.

He heard and sensed Rhodey approaching, but he didn't move. "Hey, kid. I'm Rhodey."

"Peter... Parker." Peter sheepishly whispered.

"How old are you?"

"15..."

This is awkward... Peter thought. The two stayed silent for a while, making small talk.

"Hey, kid!" Tony exclaimed, waltzing into the room. "Pepper will speak to you later, she was a little surprised as to why I brought a child home without telling anyway. But, she said it's fine... Alright, well, uh, Rhodey you've kind of met Peter... a while ago."

"Huh?" Rhodey asked, confusion evident in his voice.

"You know... the fight about the accord... there was another person there... Star Wars..?" Tony tried, wincing as explained.

Rhodey's face was blank for a moment before turning into anger, "You brought a kid there? A KID? What if he had gotten hurt? What if someone had died, Tony? Everyone involved would've been in big, big trouble!"

Tony looked shocked at Rhodey's sudden outburst, but quickly composed himself, "Well— er... Yes, I brought a kid. But, Peter was Spider-Man before I even asked—."

"Forced," Peter whispered.

"I didn't force you!"

"W-well, I said no at first... but you didn't like my excuse." Peter said, pathetically.

"Well, it was a horrible excuse." Tony smirked, "Homework, really?"

"Alright, anyway, yeah, I brought a kid... but it already happened and he is here now..."

Rhodey shot a glare at Tony and turned to Peter, "So... what are your powers?"

The rest of the evening went like that, Pepper even joined the boys.

Peter felt happy for the first time in a while.
