Ch. 27
Oh?? Is it time for your questions about Deceit and Patton to be answered??
TW: Blood, Violence, Domestic Abuse (uh oh)
"I've had enough of your shit!" Remus screamed. "You've caused my brother so much pain, Logan! And today I'm going to end it!" He summoned his morning star, a grin growing on his face.
"S-Stop! What are you--?! Get away from me!" Logan yelled, backing away from Remus.
He tripped over his own feet, landing on his butt. Still, he desperately tried to move himself away.
Remus slammed his weapon into Logan's head. Then he did it again. And again. And again.
Remus watched in delight as crimson trickled out onto the floor, licking some blood off of his fingers. "Aw, what's the matter? Finally run out if things to say?"
"Remus,"
Remus jumped, making the scene disappear. "Deceit! How did you get into the Imagination?"
"I forced you to give me permission, remember? The others want me keeping an eye on you." Deceit shrugged. "What are you doing?"
"Uh," Remus mumbled intelligently. "...taking out the trash."
Deceit sighed. "Can I join?"
"Sure!" Remus chirped. "Who do you want? Virgil?" Remus asked.
"Patton," Deceit said. Remus snapped and suddenly a carbon copy of Patton was standing in front of them.
"Pretty realistic, huh? I counted how many freckles he had while he was sleeping."
"Thats...really creepy, Remus."
"I know!"
"So you've got some anger directed at Patton, huh?" Remus asked, a lazy smirk finding its way to his face. "Any specific reason?"
"Give me a sword."
"A sword? Little too fanciful for my taste, but whatever floats your boat." Remus shrugged, snapping his fingers.
A sword appeared in Deceit's hands. With no hesitation whatsoever, he drove it through Patton's heart.
Patton choked, blood spilling over his lips. "Deceit--"
Deceit scowled and shoved it in a little further. He yanked it out with one swift pull, then raised his sword and stabbed it into Patton's head.
Patton twitched briefly, but then fell still.
Deceit yanked out the sword, raised it, the used it to slice Patton's head off.
"That's oddly therapeutic." Deceit said, picking up Patton's head.. He turned to see Remus gaping at him.
"That was way more violent than I was expecting." Remus said. "You're so cool, Deceit."
"Thanks, Ree." Deceit sighed, tossing Patton's head on the floor.
"You didn't answer my question, y'know?" Remus said, making the scene disappear.
"You never said I had to." Deceit shrugged. "It's not a fun story, anyways. Maybe you'd like it, with your fucked up sense of humor."
"Well now you've got me curious." Remus said.
Deceit paused. "...you won't tell anyone about this, right? If I told you, it would stay between us?"
"C'mon, Dee-Dee. What do you take me for? Some gossiping schoolgirl?" Remus gave Deceit a friendly shove.
"I'm serious."
"Fine, fine! I solemnly swear to not tell anyone the super-duper secret thing Deceit is about to tell me." Remus said, giving a weird little salute.
Deceit sighed. "Well,"
---
"Where am I?" Deceit murmured, looking around.
"Hey there!" He heard behind him. Deceit whipped around, spotting what had to be the most adorable person he had ever seen. "It was getting kinda lonely around here, glad to finally have some company!"
"Uh, hi." Deceit mumbled. "Where is 'here'? And who are you?"
"Oh, silly me!" The boy giggled. "I'm Morality! But that sounds kinda boring, huh? Morality, bleh! I want a new name! How about...Patton? I'm Patton!"
"I'm Deceit," He said, looking at the boy apprehensively.
"We're inside some kid's brain, I think." Patton said, looking around. "Five years old, I'm pretty sure. At least, that's what I gathered after looking at myself and Creativity."
"Creativity...?" Deceit mumbled.
"Oh, you'll love him! He's so nice and strong! C'mon!" Patton exclaimed, grabbing Deceit's hand.
"Woah! W-Wait--!"
---
"Hey, Deceit! Guess what--woah, what is that?" Patton asked, plopping down on his bed next to him.
"I don't know..." Deceit mumbled, looking down at his hand. "It looks like...scales."
"Like a snake?" Patton asked.
"Yeah," Deceit mumbled, swallowing. "Like a snake."
Patton paled, seeing the frown on Deceit's face. "I-I didn't mean that in a bad way! Snakes are pretty cool!" He stammered.
Deceit snorted. "Okay, Pat. Thanks." He gave Patton a small smile.
Patton sighed in relief. "Anything for you!"
---
"Deceit," Patton purred, walking over to the taller side. "Do you think I'm cute?"
"What?!" Deceit squawked, going crimson.
"How much do you like me?" Patton asked, a playful smirk on his face.
"I-I-"
"Do you love me?" Patton asked. Deceit's had a silent meltdown.
"Um, I-I don't."
"Really?" Patton asked. "Because I get the feeling that isn't true," Patton hummed. "Then again, what should I expect out of you?"
Deceit pursed his lips.
---
"You're so good to me, Dee." Patton whispered, sending shivers down Deceit's spine. "Let me be good to you too."
"P-Patton--"
"Shh, don't fight it."
---
"Virgil isn't evil, Pat! He protects Thomas!" Deceit yelled. "You can't just kick him to the curb!"
"I'm not talking about this.'
"Well I am!" Deceit barked. "He's just a kid! We can't leave him alone!"
"Stop raising your voice at me."
"No! Not until you stop acting like an assho--"
Patton slapped Deceit in the face.
Almost immediately, he gasped and cupped Deceit's face. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Dee. Please don't be mad."
"I-It's fine, Patton." Deceit mumbled.
---
"Romulus told me everything." Deceit spat. "About how you were using me so you could control Thomas' lies."
"You've got it all wrong, Dee."
"I don't think I do, Patton.' Deceit scowled. "You never loved me, did you? You were just using me for your own agenda."
"That's not true!" Patton snapped.
"Bullshit!" Deceit yelled. "I can tell when you're lying! I'm not stupid!"
"Shut up!"
"Was I just a means to an end? Did you ever give a flying fuck about me?!" Deceit exclaimed, wiping tears of frustration from his eyes.
"Shut UP!" Patton screamed, punching Deceit in the jaw.
Deceit waited for Patton to collapse into frantic apologies like he always did, but it never came.
Patton grabbed Deceit by the collar. "I love you, Deceit! Don't you dare doubt me!" He shoved Deceit to the ground.
"You're lying." Deceit grimaced. Patton growled, before kicking Deceit square in the stomach.
"Fine! I never loved you! Are you happy?! Who could love a monster with a fucking snake for a face?!"
Deceit tried to crawl away, but Patton climbed on top of him.
"Stupid. Piece. Of. Shit!" Patton yelled, delivering blows to Deceit's face with every word. He grabbed Deceit's collar again. "You said it was Romulus who tipped you off?!"
"N-No!" Deceit gasped.
"You lying son of a bitch!" Patton shouted, slamming Deceit's head into the ground. "Yes you fucking did!"
"St-Stop!" Deceit cried, watching as the world spun uncontrollably.
"Stop?! You raise your voice at me and expect me to stop?!" Patton yelled, punching Deceit again. "Haven't I told you not to raise your voice at me?!"
He continued to deliver blow after blow for what seemed like eternity.
An hour later, he finally climbed off of Deceit.
"Romulus is gonna get it now." Patton promised, storming out of the room.
---
"Hey, Deceit. Breathe, buddy. It's okay, just breathe." Remus told him gently, rubbing a soothing hand over his back.
"S-Sorry--"
"No, there's no need to apologize." Remus said. "I'm gonna kill him."
"Don't," Deceit said. "Please. I'm over it."
"Never said I was going to do in reality." Remus smirked, summoning his morning star. He snapped and Patton was standing in front of them again.
"Shall we?"
Deceit snorted. "We shall."
