Chapter 11
When Hiko came out of the portal, he appeared at a very hilly landscape, covered in snow. It was very cold, and he could see the snowflakes falling and landing onto him. The sky was very dark, so he assumed it to be night time. "Now where in the world did that old geezer take me?!"
Hiko thought to himself, as he traversed through the snow. He was walking for a long time, wondering who he was looking for and where they could be. He had no idea the name of the person, nor what they looked like and anything about them. He didn't even know if he was on the same planet as this person. He wasn't even sure if he was in the same galaxy as them. But despite all those thoughts, Hiko continued through the cold wasteland. Hiko was really tired, it's been a while since he last slept, and he was hungry too. He could only imagine his favorite food, Takion meat coated in Blaborpian sauce. His Aunt used to make that all the time for him. "No," he thought, "I must remain focused on the task at hand." He came across a tent, it was set up right out in the open. An empty, unlit, fire pit sat outside the tent. Hiko made his way over to the tent. He noticed massive claw marks, slashed across the tent. Inside the tent lay a body, a human man, lifeless. Hiko knelt next to it, and gave his respects and condolences, and made his way away from the campsite. "What could have caused those claw marks? And whatever creature made those marks, did they also kill that man?"
Hiko wondered to himself.
After walking quite a long way away from the camp, Hiko saw a large beast roaming around the land. It was humongous, had red fur, crawled around on five legs, and on it's head were two large antlers. Hiko tried to quietly get out of eyesight from it, but the crunch of the snow was much too loud. As soon as he made a step, the beast turned right toward him. It's face ugly, and creepy, large teeth sticking out of it's mouth, and yellow eyes. It slowly began making it's way toward Hiko, and it started getting progressively faster. Hiko, armed with only a laser pistol, decided it would be better to not fire at it, with a puny peashooter, so he started to run away. The monster was very fast, but Hiko was a good distance away from the monster before he was pursued, so he was a safe distance away from it. As he was running he thought to himself, "This must be the creature that killed that man! If I'm not careful I might be it's next victim." All of a sudden, the creature was right in front if Hiko, he turned around and saw that the beast was no longer behind him, he literally warped in front of him. "I'm doomed!" Hiko cried out, as the beast crept up to him. In fear, Hiko fired his gun at the beast, but the lasers had no effect on the monster. His eyes full of tears, stared into the eyes of the beast. He imagined the warm cooking of his Aunt. The fun times he had as a kid, playing with his friends. He remembered his old pet cat, Fernando. Then, Hiko heard a voice tell him, "Why are you afraid? I have finally found you, after being sent to search for you." Hiko thought the voice came from the beast, but his mouth did not move. He replied, "Sent for me? By whom and for what reason?"
"Melman sent me," The voice said. "He accidentally sent you to the wrong place, so he sent me to come and get you, and take you to the right place."
"Ok then, so you are this beast in front of me?" Hiko asked the voice.
"Yes. I am speaking to you with my mind through brain waves. You are doing the same, yet you are still speaking aloud. How strange." The beast answered.
"Well alright, how did Melman send me to the wrong place then? Isn't some incredible wizard, and keeper of the sacred weapons of Arcadia?"
Hiko asked.
"Even wise hermits sometimes forget to carry the two when calculating coordinates." The beast replied.
"Fine then, well then why did you kill that man, if you even did?." Hiko asked.
The beast responded, "Sorry I was hungry,"
"Anyways if you're wondering where you are, you're on Neptune, it was recently wiped out by the Kaizarr about a month ago. And in case you think about asking, I'm a Womack."
"Um, ok thanks then. Wait, Neptune, that's where Alyssa used to live. Man it must have changed alot since she was here last." Hiko proclaimed.
"Here, I'll take you to where you need to go."
So the Womack used one of it's large antlers to swing Hiko onto it's back. Then the beast floated into the air, and it vanished into thin air. Then it immediately reappeared at a jungle.
Hiko hopped off, and the Womack instantly disappeared, leaving without a trace. Hiko walked a little bit through the jungle, and noticed a town. He went up to the town, and he felt starved, and was drenched in sweat. He sat down, breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath. "So hungry." Hiko said to himself under his breath. Not long after, a man approached Hiko. "My do you look tired. Oh, and cold and hungry too. I think you'd be alot warmer and alot happier with a belly full of some of my mystery nuggets." The man told him. Hiko, too tired to speak, let the man carry him to his house. Once inside, the man situated Hiko onto a chair at his table. "I'll begin preparing some food for you." The man said. As he started cooking, a young woman, entered the room. She began to sit down at the table, and noticed Hiko sitting at the table. "Nice to meet you,"she told Hiko, "My name is Aria."
