Kane and Alyssa came out of their portal. They were at a swamp, standing in the middle of the boggy water. It was really dark, and there were low hanging trees, vines, and hanging moss everywhere.
"Eww, it stinks in this swamp." Alyssa complained.
"I'm more worried about what creatures might be hiding in the darkness." Kane answered.
"Well, we're looking for someone, but we don't know what they look like and where they'll be." Alyssa said.
"I have a feeling we'll know it's them when we see them." Kane responded.
They continued walking through the swamp, and they heard weird sounds all throughout the place. They both were frightened, but Kane tried to not let it show.
"If anything tries to jump out at us, I've got my trusty laser pistol for defense." Kane assured her.
"Great, I trust that you'll protect me." Alyssa answered.
After walking for a while, the noises started to gradually get louder.
Kane noticed something in the distance go by quickly. Then it was in a tree. Next thing he knew, the creature leaped out of the tree, and dove straight for them. Kane reacted quickly, and fired his laser pistol at the strange creature. He didn't get a good look at it, because after he killed it, he and Alyssa started to run off. But he did notice it's unmistakably large claws and fangs.
"It's definitely not safe here, web need to find our destination. And fast." Kane told Alyssa.
"This is not a good time for me to be unarmed!" Alyssa cried out.
"Don't worry, I won't let them get you." Kane reassured her.
As they were running, Kane shot at any of the creatures he saw. There were more than just one of them.
One of them happened to get behind them without Kane noticing, and spit something out towards him. It was a blob of acid, and it hit Kane right on the side of his body.
"Ahhhhh! That stuff really burns!" Kane screamed in pain.
Immediately after getting hit, he shot at the creature in response to the pain.
"Oh my goodness! Are you alright?!" Alyssa asked, worried.
"I'm still alive, so I'm fine." Kane answered, but obviously hurting.
"We have to get you somewhere safe!  But that's gonna be difficult, considering all these creatures are after us."
They continued sprinting, hoping to find a way to hide from these monsters. After time, Alyssa noticed a cave in the distance. "There! We can hide in that cave!" Alyssa alerted Kane.
They ran into the cave, and stayed quiet, until the creatures left without noticing them in there.
"Phew! We're safe!" Kane said in relief.
"Now we need to treat your wound." Alyssa told him.
"I hope that acid isn't poisonous or anything like that." Kane said nervously.
Suddenly, someone came up behind Alyssa, put their hand on her shoulder and said, "What are you doing in my home?"
"Who was that?! What do you want?!" Alyssa startled.
" I want to know why you're here and how soon you'll get out." The mysterious being replied.
Kane looked at the figure, and noticed he resembled a lizard, as he remembers from Earth.
"We're just here to escape some dangerous creatures, lizard man." Kane told him.
"Don't call me that. I'm a Repton. I don't know what this lizard you speak of is." The mysterious Repton said.
He had armor on, and had a sword sheathed on his belt. He appeared to be very primitive, which seemed odd to Kane, considering he's used to more advanced technology.
"Why do you live in this cave, Mr. Repton?" Alyssa asked.
"My name is Dromca, and I live here because it's safe. Also I find it to be comfortable in here." Dromca answered.
All of a sudden Kane got a gut feeling. He knew that Dromca was the one they were looking for.
"Dromca, I need you to come with us."
