"Since you five have now officially accepted your quest, my time has now come." Melman said.
"What do you mean 'Your time has come'?" Kane asked.
"Well I'm over several centuries old, so magic has been keeping me alive until the next generation of  Planetary Protectors have been found. And now that you have been found, I can now die and rest in peace." Melman explained.
"But you can't just die, what if we need your guidance?" Alyssa worriedly asked.
"Trust me, you'll do just fine. You know what you need to do. So all you have to do, is do it." Melman told them, as his body began to fade away.
Eventually Melman faded away, just as if he was never there.
"Bah, who needs him. The old coots time was up anyways." Hiko said, trying to be tough.
"I do believe we should get to the introductions, so that we can all be affiliated with one another." Dromca exclaimed.
"Yes that would be best, considering we all came back from our missions with someone new." Kane agreed.
"Well this is Dromca, he's a Repton from a swampy planet. He's very primitive so he might not understand all this high-tech equipment we use." Alyssa explained.
Everyone greeted Dromca and welcomed him to the group.
"This is Aria. She's a mechanic I found on my mission. She's very good with working on and creating technology." Hiko said.
So then everyone did the same for Aria as they did Dromca.
After the introductions were out of the way, an explosion hit the temple.
"What the heck was that?!' Dromca cried out.
"I don't know but we should go outside and check it out." Kane ordered.
They all ran out as fast as they could, and they noticed a large Kaizarr ship landed outside. There were elite Kaizarr soldiers hovering around the temple with jetpacks. "Aha! There you are! We are the elite Napalm Platoon, and we have been ordered by Vorkalth to blow up this temple and you all along with it." One of the Kaizarr stated.
"Like we'll let that happen!" Hiko yelled out.
"Alright everyone, charge into battle!" Kane shouted.
Alyssa stated firing arrows at the enemies, with her bow. Kane was trying to reach them so he could slash them with his falchion. Hiko used his kusarigama, and flung one side towards a Kaizarr and stabbed him in the foot. He screamed and pulled the blade out, and tossed it back. Aria's scythe had a wide enough range to hit the elites, but the were able to dodge it easily. And Dromca's naginata polearm was practically useless against the flying enemies. "Darn it! Our weapons are practically useless against these guys!" Hiko shouted in frustration. "I thought these were supposed to have elemental abilities?" Aria asked.
Suddenly one of the elite soldiers fired off a huge blast at the temple. The firey explosion caused a lot of smoke. As the smoke dissipated, they saw the temple in ruins.
"Hahaha! Soon the five of you will suffer the same fate as this stupid temple!" One soldier mocked.
Then out of nowhere, a mysterious voice said, "Fools! Why did the five of you rush into battle without connecting with your weapons first! And look what happened to my precious temple!" Kane realized that the voice was Melman's. "How can we connect with our weapons, oh wise one?" Kane asked.
"Look, you can't fully connect, but try to speak to the respective spirits that reside in the weapon, and ask them to lend you strength." Melman guessed.
So they tried that and everyone's weapons had an aura surrounding them. Kane's had a firey aura, Alyssa's was water like, Aria's was very dark and purpley, Dromca's was shocking, and Hiko's had leaves. "Thank you, ya old geezer." Hiko said.
"Well I have to go for real this time. An angel is trying to take me to heaven and all. So I'll be seeing you." Melman said as his voice faded.
"Let's continue the fight!" Kane exclaimed. So Kane used his powered up blade and shot a fire ball at a soldier, and blew him up. Then Alyssa shot an Aquatic arrow at an elite, which caused a small flood to form around him, which made him fall out of the sky and get buried into the sand. Dromca used his naginata to cause lighting to strike a soldier, which short circuited their jetpack and exploded. Aria summoned a reaper through her scythe which grabbed onto an elite soldier, and took him to the underworld. Finally, Hiko was able to use his kusarigama to cause his opponent to turn into a tree. "Wow, I turned him into a tree. So awesome." Hiko sarcastically said.
"These weapons are incredible! They can surely aid us on our mission!" Alyssa stated. "Definitely!" Aria agreed. Kane walked up to the wreckage of the soldiers, and noticed something. There was a holopad that a soldier dropped. On it was a list. Kane began reading the list. It listed all the slaves who escaped the Kaizarr facility on Mercury.
"ID #6912304358822, Name: Reina Watsuki. What?! That's my sister! It's Reina! Wait, if she's escaped, then where could she be now?"
"Kane, I know this is important to you, but we need to worry about getting of this planet. Who knows if reinforcements may be arriving?" Dromca declared.
Kane replied, "You're right. Let's get off this rock."
