Pitcher's Final Throw
He held the ball tightly in his right hand,
His gaze was at the batter at the plate.
He kicked his cleats into the dark sand,
His eyes took no turn, just kept looking straight.
The white jersey was wet from his sweat,
As the sun beamed brightly onto his back.
Air came through his nose and was felt through his chest,
He closed his eyes and saw his own flashback.
He was at the center of the stage,
Eyes were on him as he threw his knuckleball.
The batter swung with all forms of rage,
The umpire made the final call.
A smile he gave to his team,
As he won the game and gave his all.
