Broken promises, empty words
I have to come back down to earth.
The lies you tell
The stories you write without even lifting a finger.
Yet I still let my mind linger,
On the thought that maybe, just maybe this time you will keep your promise.
This time I won't cry in my room, Well let's be honest,
We both know that what you do, you do on purpose.
You ruined something that was once spotless.
You broke it, shattered it, tore it apart ,
You ruined my once perfect heart.

Though I tell everyone else to be strong. That word has lost all meaning to me, so I will continue to sing the same sad song:
The one about the girl who couldn't see
How much she meant to this world  so she decided to leave
She decided enough was enough,
And that she had had too much
That she couldn't take anymore
Well let's all just ignore,
That part of the story, we only tell the parts about her when she was happy
Before the world turned on her and got crappy
Before the world turned dark and there was no light switch
Before everyone took turns trying to stitch,
Up the broken pieces of her that the last person left behind

Well actually never mind,
Just forget about the darkness that society has brought on the world
Close your eyes and go back to your dream world,
Go back to he light, the happiness the fun
Stay out of the darkness that has overrun,
All of us who weren't perfect
