May ran around campus aimlessly. She was looking for Drew but she didn't know which way to go.

She spotted Dawn run out of the library building towards her car.

It was October so it was getting kinda dark for seven o'clock.

"Dawn! Hey, wait up!" May called out as she jogged over.

Dawn didn't even look at her as May got in her car.

"What're you doing? Are you ok-"

Dawn turned to look at her. May gaped at Dawn's less than perfect face. Dawn had always prided herself in looking her best all the time which was why May respected her as a rival. But now...

Dawn's makeup was running down her face. Her eyeliner and mascara had smudged. Her lipstick was half across her face and her tears had washed away streaks of her concealer.

"Oh my half eaten pokepuff! Dawn, what happened?! Is this because of Ash? Im sorry, I understand but...Dawn..."

Dawn shook her head as she took out some makeup remover wipes from the glovebox.

"It's Paul."

"Paul?" May wanted to tease her but she looked really upset so May didn't.

May placed her hand gently on Dawn's shoulder, "Did...did something happen with him? Are you...are you in love with Paul?"

"Ugh, no! Ash is the only boy for me! You're not giving up on him, right? Just because little miss muffin got to him first?"

"Um..." May stared down at her lap.

"Oh my Arceus! Are you for real, May?!"

"Hey, Misty is actually really nice! When she came to Hoenn to visit and for a scheme of Team Rocket's, I saw how they looked at each other. They hadn't see each other in two years but it was like time hadn't passed between them. I saw how they looked at each other, how they cared for each other...how they loved each other. They were in love for six years, Dawn. I...I think they were meant to be."

"Oh, come on! What's the real reason? Is it Drew? Is that how you're able to easily give up on Ash? Drew isn't even that cute!"

"Ok, what are you doing?! Why are you mad?! Is it a crime if I think Drew is a little cute? And why are you encouraging me?! Do you want more competition? Dawn, not everything has to be a competition!"

May's cheek burned as Dawn slapped her.

"I love him."

May clenched her teeth as she socked a punch at Dawn.

"You don't need to tell me!"

Dawn ripped off May's bandana, "I thought you were stronger than this, Maple! You're backing out because of one girl! What happened to loving Ash no matter what?!"

May grabbed her hair, "Love isn't a game! Why don't you like Paul?! He's been in love with you for three years! Don't play with his feelings!"

"I don't love Paul! I love Ash!" Dawn reached around May and clicked open the door and May screamed as she fell out. "Never talk to me again. I'll make your life a living hell just like I will to Red if you do."

May quickly rolled away as Dawn drove off.

I'm honestly so proud of myself for being able to produce satisfactory daily chapters even though it's drama hell week and nights of papers ^•^
