❝you leaned my head against your shoulder when i was crying.❞
work is a rollercoaster ride for jeongguk.
he is trying his best, but it has been months and even though he has performed well, he still isn't granted his wish. his desire to be an outdoor photographer, instead of typing his days away in front of the computer.
he definitely didn't expect this when he had boarded the train to seoul 6 months ago.
but he keeps going, believing that he has the ability to reach his goal someday. somehow. maybe it takes time, maybe it takes more than just a few falls. but he has faith in himself. just like how much his grandma trusts him.
exiting the office, he catches sight of a familiar figure leaning against the wall, switching her weight from foot to foot. as he approaches, eunseo looks up and grins.
"jeongguk!" she squeals, holding up 2 food coupons. "free buffet!"
he scratches the tip of his head, unsure of what to say. he wants to say yes, of course, but he is used to going home straight after work. there is no such thing as thank-god-it's-friday for him, no after-party, no nightlife.
"i actually have some work to—"
"aww come on!" she cuts him off, grabbing his arm. "i can't have buffet on my own, now, can i? i mean, i can of course, but it'd look hella lonely and depressing."
the pout on her face is distracting, jeongguk has to admit.
he ends up saying okay.
