❝it's more than okay to fall.❞

HANDS ARE CLASPED behind his back, head lowered, lips pressed together in worry. sensing the tense, tangible silence, jeongguk can only mentally chide himself for the blunder. no matter how slight it is, it did cost the company a small, insignificant, yet still is, an amount of money. 

he closes his eyes and waits for the scolding to come.

the head manager leans back into his chair and massages his temples. "jeongguk?"

"yes, mr kim?" the boy answers immediately. 

"take note of your mistake and remember it. don't commit it ever again. i'm letting go of you this time because you're still new here."

"... yes." 

he keeps his gaze trained on the polished marble floor.

"... thank you, sir." he adds. 

after he is dismissed from the office, he goes straight back to his desk and starts typing away again. as if nothing has happened, constantly assuring himself that everyone makes mistakes. that everyone collapses one fine day no matter how strong they are. that as long as he's able to pick himself up, he'd be fine.

jeon jeongguk never gives up. passion is what he lives for, and he's determined to do perform well in this job. no matter what it takes ; no matter how many falls he's going to experience. there is no way that he's going back to his teaching job again for he dislikes it and knows that he wouldn't be able to last there for another day. 

they always say the first fall is the hardest, anyway.
