Chapter 5:The maxims.
Chapter 5- The maxims.
(warning: this chapter is quite boring and is filled with maxims, if you dislike that, please skip to the next interval, which is far more interesting. ;)) However there is a plot for this chapter, so you might miss some details and fluff.)
Author's perspective:
The sunlight placidly stroked the two youngsters up. The brunet was the first to arouse. He yawned as he stretched his arms out. He tried to arise but only fell back down, due to a pair of arms enfolded around his waist. He moaned to the impact of the fall.
"Curse you and your cute face." Muttered the chocolate-haired male.
"Did someone compliment me?" tutted the older lying on the flooring, still not planning to remove his arms from the latter.
"You're hearing things." Returned Tae as he austerely spanked the elder's arms, trying to liberate himself.
"Ouch!" Exclaimed the raven-haired boy.
"Serves you right." Tae purely stated before departing the park, triggering the senior to trail him. "Where're we going?" questioned the smaller, plainly unexperienced.
"School." The brunet voiced firmly as Jimin seized his wrist, making the younger winced at the pain.
"You're battered. You need to be treated." Jimin detailed.
Tae frowned, discernibly differing the hoarier. "No. This is my body, so I can do whatever I want with it."
Jimin, provoked by his less-aged acquaintance. "You are my friend, so listen to my advice."
"Are you done?" Tae asked.
Jimin, dumbfounded by his enquiry, nodded.
"Advice declined." The brunette verbalized.
Jimin grimaced at his dogged camaraderie. "It's for your own safety."
"The pen is mightier than the sword." Tae pronounced.
[Proverb meaning: Trying to convince people with ideas and words is more effective than trying to force people to do what you want.]
"That's what I'm doing! I'm convincing you through words!" Jimin hollered.
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going." Enunciated Tae.
[Proverb meaning: Strong people don't give up when they come across challenges. They just work harder.]
"I'm not giving up!" Jimin protested. "I'm facing the challenge. No man is an island, Tae." [Proverb meaning: You can't live completely independently. Everyone needs help from other people.]
Tae glared at his follower. "True."
"Hope for the best but prepare for the worst" Jimin warned.
[Proverb meaning: Bad things might happen, so be prepared.]
"Oh, are you going to do it by force then?" Taehyung simply retorted. "Jimin, Discretion is the greater part of valor."
[Proverb meaning: Sometimes it's important to know when to give up and run away, instead of always acting brave and maybe getting hurt.]
"I could say the same to you." Jimin rejoined.
Tae rolled his eyes and checked the time on his watch: 3:00am. "It's dawn, actually earlier than that, don't you have to go home?"
Jimin shrugged. "Nah, my parents don't care."
Tae gave his friend who was gaping straight ahead a sympathetic smile.
"I don't need that." Jimin expressed serenely.
"Sure, you don't. You're strong." Tae muttered.
"Don't bite the hand that feeds you." Jimin countered.
[Proverb meaning: If someone's paying you or helping you out, you must be careful not to make them angry or say bad things about them.]
"Firstly, you're not my benefactor, so why would I care?" Tae combatted.
"Did you not have fun, yesterday?" Jimin questioned.
"I know, but Jimin, all good things must come to an end. My luck won't stay with me forever." Taehyung confessed. [Proverb meaning: You can't keep having good luck or fun forever; eventually it will stop.]
"It's true, but I, I would stay with you. Forever. At least for as long as I could." Jimin avowed. Tae paused and turned to see Jimin's mien. It was tinted as expected. He escaped a minor smile. "Chim, I appreciate your effort, but you'll soon realize that I do not deserve your caring."
Jimin faced Tae and exhibited a stern look. "There's no one that does not deserve that!"
"There is! I am Dishonored. Garbage. Surplus. Maniacal. That makes me." Tae simulated, afraid that tears might dripped down vigorously any minute. Jimin's heart once again panged at the sight. "You, Kim Taehyung. Deserves every single thing. Don't think like that, please. It pains my shitty heart to see you like this!"
Tae was dazed from his friend's outburst. "J-"
"Shut up, listen! One man's trash is another man's treasure! You are my treasure, quit talking shit about yourself!" outpoured Jimin.
[Proverb meaning: Different people have different ideas about what's valuable.]
Tae glared earnestly at his amity, his tears slipped out, as he swiftly wiped it. "Let's go then." Jimin shot his friend a confused look. "Hospital." Tae articulated as he felt a warm back hug. "I love you, Tae!" shouted Jimin, as a few on the street sent him glowers. "I love you too." Tae whispered, causing Jimin to tighten his hold round him.
