YOONGI : [ his voice is gruffy, hinting that he woke up not too long ago. he yawns for a moment, sniffing a bit before he answers ] yes? why are you calling me five in the morning? a little too early for a good morning call? [ laughs ] anyways, what's the big deal?

HOSEOK : hold up, why are you awake at five in the morning? min yoongi, awake in the crack of dawn? i need to jot this down on ny calendar. this is big.

YOONGI : [ scoffs ] what a loser. i was up all night working on my new mixtape, you idiot. if i want it to be straight fire, then i need to put in some—no, a lot—of effort. anyways, why did you call me if you thought i was going to be asleep?

HOSEOK : i don't know, actually. sometimes i don't have a reason behind my actions. were you the one who told me that, or was it namjoon? well, i don't remember. i think i just felt like dialing you. anyways, i couldn't sleep much last night.

YOONGI : [ snorts ] are you seriously complaining about your lack of sleep to me?

HOSEOK : sorry, sorry! but hear me out, brother. do you belive in deja vu?

YOONGI : deja vu? [ pauses ] well, sure, if that's what you want to hear.

HOSEOK : [ pouts ] what do you mean by that?

YOONGI : that i believe it to a certain extent. why, what happened? why are you suddenly asking this out of nowhere?

HOSEOK : i had a dream—no, more like a nightmare—and you know the fire in the apartment building that happened last night, the one across the street from me?

YOONGI : oh, um, sure. i just woke up, so... oh, it's in the news. go to channel four.

HOSEOK : [ flicks through channels on his television before landing on channel four ] ah, found it. that's it. the one right across from the building i live in. and—oh—it's showing the pictures of all the victims, and... [ pauses, breath hitching ]

YOONGI : ...hoseok? you there?

HOSEOK : [ voice shaking, fingers trembling in shock ] y-yoongi, will you please, please promise me to believe what i'm going to be saying right now?

YOONGI : uh, yeah, sure.

HOSEOK : um... you're watching the news right now, right?

YOONGI : yeah, you dumbass. i was the one who told you to watch it on channel four.

HOSEOK : there's pictures of faces on the screen right now, aren't there?

YOONGI : yes? hoseok, i don't know what you're trying to say—

HOSEOK : okay, well, um... one of those faces... was the face of the man's that i saw in the reflection of the window in my dream last night.
