Cole walked behind the two, keeping his head low, he glanced at the two. He looked at the Jay, or more so, what was hanging from his belt.
"Where did you get those chucks?"Cole asked.
Jay kept walking but, reluctantly, answered, "My dad gave me it."
Cole shrugged, "Fine. Whatever you say..."
"What are you implying there dirt clod," Jay growled.
"I am saying...that it's more believable if you said you stole it," Cole said with a smirk.
Jay was about to stop and turn back, but Zane put a hand on his shoulder, "It is just what he wants."
Jay groaned, "Fine...."
Cole rolled his eyes and walked faster so he stood more besides Jay, "Can I get a better look at it?"
Jay smiled as he got it out of his belt. Zane looked at Jay with a curious expression, not believing that he would allow Cole to touch something of his.
Jay got his chucks out of his belt and held it out for Cole, "Go ahead. Knock yourself out."
Cole reached out for the weapon as Jay dropped it in Cole's hands.
Cole yelled out in shock, literally, as the weapon electrocuted Cole with what felt like 100 watts of electricity. Cole dropped the weapon.
"AAAHHH! What was that for!?"Cole yelled to Jay, who was picking up his chucks.
"Hahahha! I can't believe you would-hahaha! Would just pick up something I would hand you. You really have dirt for brains..."Jay said wiping a tear from his eye.
Cole heads his hand in pain and looked at Jay with anger.
Jay stopped laughing and straightened up, he put the weapon back in his belt, "Just remember, dirt clod, when I want to tell the truth. I tell the truth. Don't think about second-guessing me..."
Cole still looked at Jay with anger, he was about to make another remark, however, Zane just shook his head. He said nothing.
Jay nodded and went along to head of the line.
Zane sighed.
Sometime later
The area was illuminated by the golden sun. The sky was pink and darkening.
"Not to bother anyone, but, are we lost?"Cole said raising his wrapped hand.
"Uuuhhh..."Jay looked around, "Someone...was suppose to be here..."
Zane looked around, "I sense...that may be a mistake."
"You sense?"Cole questioned.
"Yes, I sense. It appears I have some hidden sense when it comes to...events, assembly, of any nature."Zane said stopping.
Jay stopped as well, "Well...that is...nice? I guess."
Cole rolled his eyes, "Hard to believe, and really stupid. I didn't think that some noble like you believed in that type of wacko stuff. Like, no man has the power to sense an action from a mile away-"
Zane's eyes went wide as he caught a tessen, in mid-air, 3 inches in front of Cole's face.
Cole froze with fear and astonishment.
Zane looked at the tessen, pulling it away from Cole's face, "It seems...that we are not alone..."
Jay got out his nunchucks," NoT sOmE WaCkO sTuFf!" Jay mocked.
Cole got out his hammer, "Shut it pirate."
Zane looked at the staff in his belt, he pulled it out and held it in his hands firmly.
The trio looked around the jungle. It was silent.
Jay looked around, "Maybe they left?"
I giant claw came torpedoing towards them and landed in front of Jay. Nearly crushing him. A giant robot jumped out of the bush. Jay screamed.
"I GUESS THEY DIDN'T LEAVE!"Cole yelled as he pulled Jay's collar to get him away from the claw.
The robot retracted its claw and pulled out its giant sword from its back. The robot swung at them to which they scattered.
Zane rolled on the ground and flipped to the side avoiding the blows, "It appears to be...some sort of Samurai."
"Uhh, what?!"Jay yelled and dodged the giant hand swinging for his head.
"A samurai. It is a warrior of the highest form of martial arts. Mostly found in Chinese traditions. This one seems to have upgraded due to changing times."Zane explained and looked at the massive machine.
The machine swung its sword to a few trees having them fall above Zane.
Cole saw and ran towards the odd man. He hit his hammer on the ground and rocks rose from below, holding the trees from crushing Zane.
The samurai went after Cole next.
"Tell me again how you know that!"Cole yelled.
"I don't remember!"Zane yelled going a different direction from where the samurai was going.
"I BELIEVE THE MORE IMPORTANT QUESTION WOULD BE HOW DID BOULDER BRAIN SUMMON ROCKS FROM THE GROUND!"Jay yelled swing in ng his nunchucks.
"I didn't ask you about your light show!"Cole yelled across the battle referring to Jay's nunchucks.
"Fair point," Jay said and ran to the samurai and hit its metal with his electric nunchucks.
The Samurai glitched and twitched swinging its arms rapidly. Its chest opened up and a figure hopped out of the Samurai, or samurai suit, having smoke over their body. It swayed a little before regaining balance and taking out both of their katana looking at the three.
Zane's eyes widened, "It appears the Samurai is not the robot, but the person inside."
Jay looked at Zane, "Oh really! I thought there was a toy inside!"
Cole looked at the two, "It was a mech. There are a few at my base."
Jay turned to Cole, "I knew it was a mech! I make them! Or know how to make them, my father actually makes most of them. He and my mom own a shop around the desert, they travel to Ninjago city once and a while to show their mechs and machines but mostly to pick out parts. They are nice, but don't get them talking cause all they do is talk and talk and talk and talk until half of the day is already gone and next thing you know they keep talking! I mean like this one time-"
Zane kicked Jay in the shin, "Ouch! Wha-oh... okay...now, where were we?"Jay turned towards the samurai who was crouched low and had a sword in Jay's face.
Jay raised his hands, "We mean no harm...I was just looking for a friend..."Jay said.
The samurai pressed the sword against his throat, "You do not belong here..." the Samurai said in a deep voice, "This forest is protected by the United. Any unauthorized personnel will not enter these woods. And especially not anyone from the Earth Renegade." they turned the sword to the Earth person's throat.
Zane looked at the sword and put his palm on the dull side of the blade pushing it away from Cole's throat, "We mean no harm."
The samurai stood up straight and glared into the eyes of the pale man, "I am the Water Samurai, don't think I haven't heard that line out of many terrorist mouths. How are you not any different."The samurai said pointed the sword to Zane.
"Wait, did you say water Samurai?"Jay said with a smile.
"Yes."The samurai said looking at jay, "More commonly known as Samurai X from people who are not apart of the jungle. Now leave."
Jay smiled and dropped his weapon, "Nya! It's me! Jay! Wow! Didn't you get intimidating! This is my friend, Zane. And this is the person I am forced to take here! It's cool, they are not here to hurt anyone."
The samurai stopped for a moment, then put back their sword and took off her mask," Jay? You're back?" she smiled and hugged him, "It been 2 years! What happened! More importantly, what happened to your hair!" she laughed.
Jay hugged her back, "It's a long story. Wow, you look great! I can't believe it been that long!"
Cole stood there with his mouth dropped open, "YOU KNEW EACH OTHER THIS ENTIRE TIME!"
Jay let go of Nya, "Well duh."
Cole gritted his teeth and clenched his fist together tightly.
"This is absolutely lovely," Zane said putting his hands together and smiling brightly.
Nya looked at them, "Why did you bring these two?"
Jay sighed, "It's...it's a long story."
Nya smiled and walked along the path, "Tell me on the way."
Jay smiled, "Okay! Come on, guys! So it all started when I was out testing out this new engine filter and...."
Zane smiled and followed behind the two friends.
Cole shook his head and followed behind.
"I still have no idea where we're going!"Cole exclaimed as the two chatted.
"Rude! I am in the middle of a story here! As I was saying, I see this guy in the middle of the desert and thought, hey, who wears fur in the desert? So I...."
The sky even dimmer as the group of comrades went to the mysterious location. One amongst the mix who started to second guess...if he should.
Should he? Or should he not?
These two questions wonder through the head of the undecided.
