Chapter 16

Sorry for the late chapter, my dad took me birthday shopping....

-----------------

Jonathan didn't know how to describe the way he felt around Evan, except for happy. He was most definitely happy around him.

But there was something else as well, he just couldn't put a finger on it, it was on the tip of his tongue.

"You two are so obvious." David said, snapping Jonathan out of his thoughts.

"Who?" Lui asked, looking around the group to see who David was talking about, minus Evan and Craig, who decided to spend the day at home rather than with them.

"Evan and Jonathan. You two are obviously in love, I ship it." David said, smiling.

"Shut up, Nogla, we are not in love. Stop forcing your ships on us." Jonathan replied, casting a sideways glare at his friend.

"You don't get it, Evan is just happier around you, more comfortable or some shit like that. It's so obvious." Brock cut in.

"That's true, even Craig can admit Evan is more comfortable around you than him." Tyler admitted, looking at Jonathan guiltily.

"Well those two always fight so of course Evan would choose someone else over him." Jonathan was grasping for something at this point. "Besides, what about you and Craig, Tyler? When are you gonna ask him out?" He replied smugly.

"What? I-I don't like Craig, I mean I do but not like that." Tyler was flustered, his cheeks showing a light shade of blush.

"Admit it, Ty. You love him." Jonathan teased. Tyler playfully slugged his arm.

"Shut up, Jonathan. I thought we were going to the skate park, not talking about relationships."

"You should invite Evan." Lui suggested. "He would love it."

"Didn't they say they needed to do homework or something today?" He countered, trying to stray the topic off of Evan.

"Oh come on, Jonathan. You know Evan has probably already finished it, remember last week?" Brian brought up, finally contributing to the conversation.

It was true, last week after Craig and Evan had went home, the next day Evan was out and about with Jonathan while everyone else tackled the mound of homework they had. Jonathan had taken easier classes so he didn't have that much, but Evan had the same amount as everyone else and he had finished it all so easily it was insane.

Sighing, Jonathan pulled out his phone, agreeing with a reluctant 'fine'.

Jonathan: Hey Ev, we're all going to the skate park, wanna come?

Evan: Hell yeah, can you text me the address? I don't know where it is :/

Jonathan: Yeah sure one sec let me look it up real quick

Jonathan: *insert address*

Evan: Thanks, see you in a bit :)

Smiling, Jonathan put his phone as he looked up at everyone staring at him.

"So what did he say?" Lui asked.

"He said yes, just like you said he would." Jonathan said, continuing to walk forward as his friend giggled, most likely going on about his love life. Jonathan just shrugged to himself, he might as well just let them talk.

------------

Evan had his eyes glued to his phone, following the path the GPS was showing him. He glanced up just in time to be enveloped in a hug from Jonathan.

"Hey Evan." He said from over his shoulder as Evan wriggled his arms free to hug him back.

"Hey Jonathan." He replied as they pulled apart, smiling at each other. "So, where's everybody else?" Evan asked, noticing Jonathan was by himself.

Jonathan pointed towards the center of the park where there was pool-looking ramp in the ground. It's odd-shape confused Evan, why would you skateboard in an empty pool? "Over there."

Evan, still confused, nodded and smiled, following as Jonathan led him towards the guys.

-------------

"What the hell is that thing?" Evan asked as Jonathan pulled out another long skateboard out of his bag, a remote control following suit.

"It's a booster board." He zipped his bag, picking up the remote control and handing the board to Evan. "Here."

Evan warily took the board, staring at his friend skeptically. "Okay, but what does it do?"

"Nothing, just get on it." Jonathan said innocently.

Evan looked at the guys, who were all staring at the two. "What's happening, I feel like this is a prank."

They laughed, shaking their heads. "No, of course not. Just get on, dude. It's a board what are you scared of?" Tyler, gesturing for Evan to put the board down.

Evan placed the board on the ground, placing his left foot on the board's surface. He glanced back at his friends, who all wore shit-eating grins. Turning back, he gulped and pressed against the concrete with his other foot, hoping he was doing it the same way his friends had.

He put both feet on the board to balance as he rode the board forward. It was actually relaxing, considering he had never done it before, but he was still scared of what the guys were planning.

But he had forgotten about that when the board started to slow down, he was about to get off when suddenly the board jerked forward with such a hard force that Evan was basically pushed off the board. He screamed in surprise as he fell on the ground, the board forgotten.

Evan felt dazed, not quite sure if he was on the ground or not, he was still trying to figure out what had happened.

All of a sudden he felt someone turn him around and shake him. "Ev? Ev, are you okay? Shit, I didn't mean to hurt you." It was Jonathan.

"W-what happened?" Evan asked, still staring at the sky as everyone gathered around him.

"That doesn't matter, are you okay? How many fingers am I holding up?" Lui asked, holding up a few fingers in front of Evan's face as Jonathan helped him sit up.

"F-fourteen." He said, holding on to Jonathan as he attempted to stand up, stumbling and nearly falling but Jonathan held on to him.

All of their faces paled as they led him over to a bench, Tyler grabbing the board on the way. "Shit." He cursed under his breath. "How the hell are we going to tell Craig about this?"

Brian sat next to Evan, who was still being supported by Jonathan. "Evan, look at me for a second." Evan complied.

Brain looked at his eyes, trying to tell if Evan had a concussion, which he did. He stood up, saying a quick thanks to Evan as he worriedly walked over to his friends.

"Tyler, you need to call Craig. Evan has a concussion, he needs to go home." He said seriously, glancing back to see Jonathan trying to keep Evan awake, who kept dozing off. "Now."

Tyler quickly nodded, pulling out his phone and quickly typing Craig's number in.

"Hello?" Craig answered, his voice so unsuspecting.

"Craig, you need to come pick up Evan, he's got a concussion and is on the verge of passing out." Tyler spike quickly, hoping Craig wouldn't get too mad.

"What? How the fuck did he get a concussion? Wait, don't tell me, I'm coming. Sebastian!" Craig called someone, which confused Tyler since he didn't know who 'Sebastian' was. "See you in a bit, Tyler. Don't hurt him anymore."

He didn't even say goodbye before Craig hung up. Tyler looked over to where his friends were gathered around Evan, who was resting his head against Jonathan's chest. "Craig's coming."

"Thank god." Jonathan said, looking up. "I didn't think he would get hurt, you know."

"We know." Lui said comfortingly.

It hadn't even been twenty minutes when a limo pulled up near them, Craig rushing out while the driver got out more slowly.

"Evan!" He hugged him lightly, taking him off of Jonathan while the driver joined them. "Seb, can you take him to the car?" He said, Evan still in his arms as the butler briskly walked forward, taking the boy from his arms.

"Yes, of course, Craig. Come on, Evan, you can sleep in the car." Sebastian ushered the stumbling boy to the limo, ignoring the perplexed look of onlookers as he placed the boy inside, who almost immediately passed out on the seat.

Craig turned back to his friends. "You are all going to explain this later, but right now I need to be with Evan. Don't think I'm done with you." He said, turning around and heading back to the limo.

In a matter of seconds they were gone.
