A young girl was sitting by herself, she looked and watched the people walk with their protectors, the girl felt lonely, she sighed.
   "Hey Loser!" a voice calls to her, she glanced over to see a boy walking over with his friends, the girl looks down. "Still a protector-less freak I see" he said laughing.
   "Still a jerk I see..." the girl said, the bully's friends immediately laughed, that comeback was pretty good.
   "Listen you little bitch! You would respect me cause I have the strongest guardian here!" The jerk said with hatred.
   "Bro you have a Fire Guardian" his friend said.
   "SHUT UP!" the jerk said, he soon glared at the girl and grabbed her arm.
   "HEY!" shouted another voice "You let her go right now!" They look and were shocked as a boy with sun colored hair walks up to them, behind him was his Sun Guardian, the bullies backed up.
   "Lucas! What are you doing here?!" the jerk asked.
   "What do you think dumb ass!" Lucas snaps, the Sun Guardian growls. "You're about to attack someone that is defenseless!" Lucas said angry, the girl was shocked.
   "So what that I am! You may have a Sun Guardian but there is no way you'll beat me!" the jerk said with a cocky smile. Lucas rolls his eyes.
   "I don't know what sort you're on, but clearly it's clouding your judgement" Lucas said, putting his hands in his pockets.
   "Are you challenging me pretty boy?" the jerk asked.
  "Yeah" Lucas said as his Guardian stood next to him, it was like a bear, it had deer antlers, it was a bright orange with a hint of yellow. The girl watched as the Fire Guardian readied it's fire for an attack. The Sun Guardian summoned it's attack, the girl watched in fear, she backed up.
  "BOYS! You know the rules! NO FIGHTING!" shouted a woman as she marched over and pushed the boys back, the guardians the boys had backed off in terms of their powers.
  "Miss, Kayden was about to beat up a girl, I was trying to defend her" Lucas said.
  "I know, I saw everything, I was hoping Kayden would walk away," the woman said. Kayden narrowed his eyes.
  "That's because the girl is a Guardianless freak!" Kayden said with rage.
  "Say that one more time! Or it's suspension for you!" the women said.
  Kayden rolls his eyes and Lucas clenches his fist with anger.
  "Whatever, come one guys," Kayden said, walking off, Kayden's friends followed.
  Lucas went to the girl.
  "You ok?" Lucas asked. "You're not hurt are you?" he asked, helping her up.
  "I'm alright..." she said.
  "What's your name?" Lucas asked.
  "Lucy." Lucy says, looking down, she pulls her headset down. "Sorry for not properly defending myself...I don't really have a Guardian..." She said embarrassed. Lucas just waved it off.
  "It's alright, some say that when someone's guardian is delayed, it means their guardian is very strong." Lucas said. Lucy looks.
  "Are you sure that's the case?" Lucy asked.
  "I know it is, mine was that way when I first started out." Lucas said.
  "I see..." Lucy said as she looked down. She pulls her brown hair back, it was rather messy. 
  She sighed, Lucas looked at her.
  "What's wrong?" he asked.
  "It's nothing, it's just that, I'm still a little lost on the ranking system of the Guardians." Lucy said rubbing her head embraced. "I'm a bit new here," She said.
  "Ah! If that's the case, I'll be more than happy to teach you" He smiled. "So The Guardians are ranked by what their powers are, such as The Elementals; Air, Water, Earth and Fire. The Celestials; Stars, Sun which I have, Moon, and the other heavenly bodies, then there's The Extensions; Lightning, Toxins, Plants etc. then the RAREST is The Balance-" Lucas said.
  "The Balance?" Lucy asked.
  "The Balance; Light and Darkness, life and death. Cool eh? There is only two in existence, the story says that they were born and not manifested. But that's a story no one truly knows where they came from, but The Balance are the leaders of ALL the Guardians." Lucas says.
  "Oh, I see..." Lucy said.
  "Plus many people see them without their Anchor," Lucas said. "You know what an Anchor is right?" Lucas asked. Lucy gave a "so-so" gesture. "Ah, so an Anchor in this world is a human who the Guardians is connected to in order to manifest." he said. 
  "I see...hmmm, very interesting" Lucy said.
  "Come, let's get to class," Lucas said, they headed inside the school. The women from earlier watched them and smiled.
  "Kids these days" she said. 
   As the day went on, people kept calling Lucy as "Guardianless Freak", Lucy was near in tears at that point, she rushed to get home, once she got in the door of her home, her mom was laying on the couch, passed out, Lucy sighed, this as normal when her mom gets in the alcohol cabinet, no matter how many times Lucy locked it.
  "God...why do I have to deal with this all the time..." Lucy said. She soon went and placed her backpack on the floor and went to her mom, her mom groaned as she woke up.
  "Hey sweetie..." her mom said. She was sober?!
  "Oh! Hey mom!" Lucy said.
  "How was school?" her mom said.
  "Awful..." Lucy replied.
  "Yeah...I got a call from the Principal. She told me everything..." her mom said. 
  "Oh..." Lucy looks down. Her mom gestures to her to sit down.
  "Look sweetie, don't let them get to you, I know that's easier said than done. Kids can be cruel, I know... " her mom said.
  "But...what if I never get my Guardian..." Lucy said.
  "No one truly knows...no one can tell the future, you are very special, and I know that sounds like parent talk. But I'm being serious" Her mom said. "These kids will soon eat their words...I promise you ok?" her mom said.
   "OK..." Lucy said. Her mom kissed her head and held her gently. 
   "What do you want for dinner?" her mom asked, Lucy gave some thought.
   "Can we have pizza?" she asked. Her mom smiled.
   "Yeah...we can have pizza" her mom smiled. 
   Lucy and her mom were working on the pizza, they had ordered it from the local pizza place. Lucy bites into a slice of piece, they were watching TV while the news plays.
  "We are live at DarkClaw's castle, he has declared to make an announcement regarding who his Anchor will be" The reporter said speaking into the mic.
  "He's finally going to look for one? Huh...neat" Lucy's mom said.
 

  Lucy said nothing, she kept eating the pizza, soon she saw an image of DarkClaw and another Guardian, a female, who was white in color with a hint of grey, both of them working an eyepatch of opposite eyes. Lucy found that odd.

   "Why do they wear eyepatches?" she asked. Lucy's mom looks.
   "I'm not sure, I heard because they have mixed eyes." Lucy's mom started taking a sip of her soda. Lucy looks at the pair, their uncovered eyes are both brown, just like hers...Lucy shook her head, that's impossible.
    DarkClaw looks at the mic, he soon sighed and grabs it.
   "Recently it has been brought to my attention that the Guardians have an Anchor, so within a month, my sister and I will be seeking Anchors" DarkClaw said, his voice was deep and gruff.             Lucy was surprised, and soon a reporter spoke up.
   "Will you be looking at all possibilities?" asked the reporter.
   "Yes I will" DarkClaw said. "Starting with the high school," he said, turning to leave to return to his castle, his sister followed. The reporters tried to ask more questions, Lucy and her mom were confused.
   "Huh, very interesting" her mom said confused.
    Lucy looks at the screen and she looks at her.
    "Why would he want to go to the high school? It seems so random..." Her mom said.
    "Beats me mom..." Lucy sighed, she soon yawns. "Man...I'm tired..." she said.
    "Go get some sleep honey, it's a school night" her mom said. Lucy nods and soon gets up and leaves to go to bed. As Lucy walked towards her room, she could've sworn she saw a shadow walking behind her, she looked but she saw nothing, she glanced around confused, she soon walked into her room.
    She grabbed her things to get ready, she already completed all her homework back at school so she wouldn't have to worry about it later, she soon showered, got changed and soon laid down on her bed, the moment she laid down, she fell right asleep. The shadow she saw soon took the shape of a large wolf, it wore a trench coat with a suit and tie, it's eyes were a dark red. It's pupils were very unusual, they looked like the devil emoji.

   "Don't worry kid...you'll get your Guardians soon" it said in a deep gruff male voice, covering the child in her blankets. Once he did he stood up and left in the shadows, DarkClaw was standing at the balcony waiting. 
   He soon glanced towards the shadows.
  "Where were you?" DarkClaw asked. The shadow from before appeared and manifested.
  "I was out for a walk," the shadow said walking forward.
  "Quite a long walk Alastair" DarkClaw said, looking out.
  "You worry too much," Alastair said. "Besides, you and WhiteClaw will have to look for your Anchors." Alastair said leaning on the railing. DarkClaw sighed.
   "That's exactly what worries me Alastair," he said. "We may never find them," he said. Alastair chuckled.
   "Oh you will, soon than you think" he said. 
   "What do you mean?" DarkClaw asked, confused.
   "Don't worry about it" Alastair said, leaving, vanishing back into the shadows.
   DarkClaw sighed and rubs his eyes.
   "Rough night?" asked the voice of his sister, DarkClaw looked and smiled.
   "yeah...I'm just worried..." he said.
   "I heard Alastair's and yours's conversation...and I'm just as worried as you are, dear brother..." WhiteClaw said walking over to him.
   DarkClaw sighed.
  "What if we don't find them..." DarkClaw sighed. WhiteClaw looks at him.
  "We will...have faith brother..." she said gently moving his face to look at her. "Everything will be alright" she said. 
   DarkClaw looks, WhiteClaw walks off, Darkclaw looks down and looks out at the city, he was worried that they might fail...
    Alastair sat on top of the castle, he looked out and saw that the lights of the city were turning off, Alastair sighed and leaned back on the castle, he knew it would take a while but it will be done.
   In the morning, Lucy soon wakes up from her sleep, she yawns and soon gets up and goes to get ready for school, once she got ready and soon she went into the kitchen where her mom was up and dressed, she looked like she was going somewhere.
  "Going somewhere?" Lucy asked.
  "Yeah, work called and they wanted me to come in, I'll be gone for a while, about a couple of weeks so I need you to watch the house ok?" her mom said. Lucy nods.
  "OK mom" Lucy said, her mom kisses her head and soon heads off. Lucy soon heads to school, her own personal hell...the moment she walks in, she sees the students filing into the courtyard, Lucy soon walks the other way. But the students crowded around DarkClaw and WhiteClaw, who maneuvered around the students, DarkClaw soon sensed something as did WhiteClaw. They look at each other.
  "You sensed that too?" DarkClaw asked. Whiteclaw nods.
  "I did, they're here" WhiteClaw asked. 
  "I'll go investigate" DarkClaw said as WhiteClaw nods, DarkClaw soon walked around the students and soon he made it into the school, Lucy was walking to class, when suddenly she was kicked to the ground, she cried out in pain as Kayden stood above her.
  "That is where you belong...beneath us!" Kayden said about to punch her, when DarkClaw grabs Kayden's fist.
   Kayden glared, but his face went pale.
