Proxima Centauri

"Bringing about Armageddon can be dangerous. Do not attempt it in your own home." - Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
Six thousand years on Earth made for many, many strange moments, which a certain angel and demon would often recount together when their tongues had been loosened by wine kept tucked away in the back of the bookshop for special occasions. Yet even after everything they had seen, the strangest of all moments, by far, occurred when Crowley and Aziraphale went to meet up at the aforementioned bookshop to discuss the 'arrangement,' only to find a baby girl abandoned on the back step.
Who had left her there, and why, the immortal duo did not know. This girl had no name put to her, no indicator of where she came from. Most likely, she had been left there because everyone in SoHo knew that the bookshop and its owner were odd, but not in a bad way. Maybe the mother had hoped that by leaving the child on the doorstep of A. Z. Fell and Co, the practically angelic place would help her find good luck and safety. In a way, it worked, because Aziraphale would never leave a child out to freeze on his step. (And neither would Crowley, for that matter, though as a demon, he couldn't just freely admit that.)
Being an angel and a demon, and also, er, idiots, Aziraphale and Crowley did not take this infant girl to a hospital, nor the authorities. The thought didn't even cross their minds, because, well, they hadn't experienced a situation like this before. Which all leads to them looking after the girl together (in secret, of course) and vowing to find her a good home soon. Of course, that plan doesn't go how it's expected to, either. (When exactly do the ideas of Aziraphale and Crowley ever go according to plan?)
Within three weeks, both Aziraphale and Crowley are quite attached to the human infant. She's cute and innocent and with a few small miracles to ensure she was in good health, doing wonderfully. Aziraphale can't say he's always been the best around children or the most fond of their troublemaking, but he can tolerate them, and this one melts his heart. And as for Crowley, well, he's always had a soft spot for kids, and it's not shocking that he quickly becomes invested in this child's life. Even if he tries to deny it.
Long story short, Aziraphale and Crowley choose to raise the girl themselves. It's unconventional, unheard of, but they can't bear to part with her and entrust her safety to someone else. This choice starts with a series of convenient miracles to get the papers squared away, and ends with the pair successfully becoming co-parents of an adopted daughter.
Freddie Eve Fell, they call her, and she grows up happy and loved, if a little strange.
(And for all those wondering, she is indeed kept secret from Heaven and Hell, but if the cat is ever let out of the bag, an excuse is in place. Long term divine influence from an early age. An experiment in temptation/blessing. That might seem like a weak excuse, but it's important to remember that both head offices already find Aziraphale and Crowley deeply odd, and tend to stay far far out of their way. Unless they want to hear about crepes and sabotaging the M-25's infrastructure, respectively.)
However, only five years after taking in young Freddie, the antichrist is born, and Armageddon is looming. Heaven and Hell want their war, but Aziraphale and Crowley refuse to let go of the world they hold dear, or lose the daughter they love. (And they also don't want to lose each other, but even when they've been friends for practically all of Earth's history and are raising a child together, they can't seem to make it past the pining and obliviousness to move their relationship forward.) So, now they have to try to thwart the so-called "great plan." Excellent.
And, to make matters worse, eleven years of careful scheming goes down the drain when it comes to light that the real antichrist is a completely different child than the one they've been focused on. Which leaves an angel, a demon, and a sixteen-year-old human girl with a handful of days to track him down and stop the end of, well, everything. If they fail, their world and their family will be torn apart.
But, you know, no pressure.
