Chapter Nineteen

To all the Queens who are fighting alone

-·=»‡«=·-

- Raging King and Dominant Queen -

Third Person's POV

Taehyung was angry.

He had a right to be. The civilians were acting out of place yet again and tearing apart the kingdom. From the fields to the shops, they were burning everything.

"After the hard work I put into this kingdom to keep it safe, fed, ALIVE, they have the AUDACITY to burn it to the ground?" He roared. The Queen was the only one in the throne room with the King. Jungkook was the only one who was allowed near the King at his current state.

Taehyung was absolutely furious.

"Taehyung-"

"After I gave them riches and homes. I gave them food on their plates every fucking evening and sheets on their beds!" The younger couldn't even get through to Taehyung. He was pacing back and forth. His cheeks and ears were red with rage.

"Taehyung-"

"I kept them safe! For fucks sake, I doubled the guards. No- No! I TRIPLED them and they have the fucking audacity to threaten the royal army, attack them, and WOUND the very soldiers who kept them ALIVE?" Steam was nearly escaping Taehyung's ears as his fists clenched tightly at his sides.

"Taehyung-" Each time the younger attempted to stop Taehyung's chatter, he was silenced by another sentence. It was beginning to annoy Jungkook.

"The only reason they are alive is because I ALLOW it. They could be dead! They would be dead if it weren't for me! I could have let the storms wipe them clean or stripped them of their goods to sell on the market!" Taehyung couldn't stop pacing.

His eyes were narrowed and hardened in anger. His footsteps were loud. They were nearly stomps as he went back, then forth, then back again, and forth once more. His crown slowly began to fall and he readjusted it. His knuckles were white from how hard he was clenching them.

"Kim Taehyung." At the call of Taehyung's full name, the King stopped in his tracks. He halted. His body tightened and froze. Jungkook hadn't called him by his full name in years, and when he did, it was because he was pissed.

"Yes?" The King asked shakily. His anger was still at the surface but fear seemed to overpower it all. When the King was angry, it wasn't pretty. When the Queen was angry, it was hell on earth.

"Silence." Taehyung did. He silenced. His back straightened and his hands unclenched. He stood there in front of the Queen with a blank face. Yet deep within his brown eyes, fear flashed and anger radiated around him.

However, he wouldn't disobey the Queen.

"I understand that you are angry," Jungkook said calmly. Taehyung knew that the younger was angry. Even if his voice was honey-like and gentle, Jungkook was livid. He could see it in the younger's eyes and hands. "However," Jungkook said as he rose to a stand.

"Yelling won't do anything to fix the issue at hand. The kingdom is burning. The civilians are crying and screaming. The guards are attacking. We need to figure out what to do and now." Taehyung knew the younger was right. He was wasting time by pacing and arguing about it.

He had to do something.

"I know," Taehyung said weakly. He felt small and exposed as the Queen stared at him. His dominance faded away into nothing and his shoulders slumped a bit. "I'm sorry." Jungkook's lips tilt upward in a small smile and a sigh escaped from deep within his chest.

"Go fix the kingdom," the younger said. Taehyung looked down at his Queen and stared deep into Jungkook's brown eyes. They seemed to give him all the answers he needed and the reassurance he was lacking. His eyes gave Taehyung strength and courage.

"Help me," the King pleaded. Technically, Jungkook had no say in the matter of the civilians. He was only in charge of the maids, servants, and royal guards. Taehyung made every decision regarding civilians and the kingdom itself.

But they were both royals. They were both the royals of Fruma. Taehyung couldn't do this alone.

"What do you want me to do?" The Queen asked. Taehyung took Jungkook's hand and led them both out of the throne room. They walked down the palace corridors as guards jumped to their feet and raced after the royals. They swarmed them and guarded them as Taehyung commanded that the palace doors open.

And when they did, he saw the Kingdom turn to shambles. The marketplace was surrounded by flames and the trees were slowly catching fire.

Whoever caused this would certainly pay for their actions.

"Get these civilians under control. Pin them. Tie them down. I don't fucking care what it takes. Get them out of the fire and on their knees." One hundred guards rushed forward and through the flames that surrounded the palace. Another one hundred worked to put out the fire.

"Let me get Eclipse. I'll go with the guards and I'll find whoever started this mess," the younger protested. Taehyung's eyes went wide. His head shook frantically and he squeezed Jungkook's hand.

"Are you out of your mind? The palace is surrounded by flames! I'm not letting you go out there!" Jungkook simply smiled. His eyes softened upon his husband, and he pointed to the weapons that the guards were using. The ones surrounding the palace were using bows and arrows.

"As long as I can get to Eclipse, I'll be fine. She's fast and strong. I won't get hit by anything or anyone. Plus," the younger mused, "weren't you the one who declared that I was the best bow and arrow wielder?" Taehyung bit his bottom lip.

The civilians often rebelled. It was no real surprise when they did such, however, they only did it when they weren't facing a royal head-on. Whenever the King or Queen stepped up and silenced the crowd, they fell weak and powerless to the royals.

The Queen especially. Jungkook held great power over the Kingdom.

"Promise me," the King whispered. "Promise me you'll be safe. I can't live knowing you could get hurt out there." Jungkook just smiled and cupped Taehyung's cheek. Then, he closed the gap and their lips met in a sweet, passionate, love-filled kiss.

"I promise, Taehyung. I'll be back in a little bit." With that, the Queen rushed back inside. Jungkook ran. He sprinted through the palace until he was met at the south doors where the stables were. He burst through them and raced over to the stables.

This part of the castle wasn't surrounded by flames as the north side was.

He mounted Eclipse and they raced to the front of the palace. Stealing a bow and arrow from the arena, he pulled back the bow and allowed Eclipse to carry him through the burning marketplace and toward the houses.

The guards slowly began to control the fire and civilians were being pinned every second. They fell to their knees with their hands behind their backs. Some were crying. Some were screaming. Others were in shock.

"Who started the riots?!" The Queen roared. His voice was deep and filled with anger. It boomed, and the civilians shook with fear. Even the guards gulped and wished to fall to their knees.

"Who started the fire?!" He roared loudly. His voice was scary whenever the Queen was angry. Jungkook was livid beyond belief. "Show yourself, now! Who is responsible?!"

A minute or so passed and finally, a few men stumbled forward and fell to the ground. They bowed their heads and dropped to their knees. Their hands reached out in front of them and their foreheads pressed to the ground.

"It was us, your majesty..." Jungkook's eyes narrowed.

"How many of them?" The question silenced the entire kingdom. Other than the faint crackling of the fire, there was no sound in the atmosphere between the Queen and the civilians. "Answer me!" He screamed.

"Five of us!" They shouted. Fear filled their voices. "Where is the last one?"

The guards grabbed one last man by the collar and shoved him to the ground with the other four. "Here, your majesty." Jungkook's eyes narrowed. His power radiated around him and the anger he held within his veins surfaced. The civilians felt it.

Everyone felt the rage that swirled around the Queen.

"Bring them to the castle. Do not let them go. If one of them gets away, you will be punished." The guards nodded frantically. They grabbed the five men on the ground and pushed them to a stand. Jungkook raced back to the palace. The fires were gone. The King was yelling at the civilians.

Until he saw Jungkook.

He silenced mid-sentence. The guards the Queen commanded were right behind Jungkook. The younger dismounted his horse, slung the bow over his shoulder, then walked up the stairs to the palace entrance.

"Five of them. Deal with each as you please," the Queen muttered. Taehyung's eyes blazed with anger. They were lit aflame as the five men were shoved to the ground and held there.

"This kingdom is under my rule!" The King roared. The guards bowed. The Queen stood his ground and narrowed his eyes upon the civilians. Everyone fell silent. Deadly, deadly silent.

"I allow you to live here! I give you my riches! I give you my care and protection and THIS is how you repay me?!" His voice boomed and thundered as the civilians looked at the ground and kept silent.

"You are alive because I ALLOW it!" Taehyung roared. His rage consumed him. "Keep disobeying me and I'll turn this kingdom into one you'll all hate. Disobey me again and you'll face far worse than death." The King turned from the civilians and curled his fingers at the guards. They grabbed the five men.

"The palace is off-limits. Until the kingdom is repaired by every single civilian, the doors will remain shut and the money being distributed will be held off. Good luck feeding yourselves." With that, the King and Queen, along with the guards, walked back into the palace.

"Behead them."

Their lives were over in seconds. Their bodies fell to the ground and blood spilled against the polished marble. "Get it cleaned up before the marble is stained," the Queen commanded. "Double the guards around the palace. No one leaves and no one enters. Understood?"

The King was already walking ahead. Jungkook was following beside him as they walked up the grand staircase until they reached the top floor of the palace. When they entered their suite, Taehyung slammed the door and the wall rattled.

"How fucking DARE they?!" The King was seething.

Jungkook wasn't going to allow his husband's rage to consume him. For what? What would it prove now? The King had already given punishment and said whatever he needed to say.

"Kim Taehyung," the younger called. Taehyung silenced and looked at Jungkook. His hardened eyes softened and the Queen curled his finger. Taehyung came walking forward.

"Shut up." With a firm shove, Taehyung was against the wall and Jungkook was pinning him down. Even as Taehyung towered over the younger, Jungkook still held full control.

"You need to relax. The situation has been taken care of. Everything will return to the way it was before this whole thing happened." The King breathed deeply. He knew Jungkook was right but how was he just supposed to calm down? He was livid.

"I get that, but how do you-"

Jungkook's lips silenced Taehyung. The Queen pressed their lips together and the King melted away. His anger suddenly vanished and his eyes fluttered shut. The younger grabbed Taehyung's hair and deepened the heated kiss shared between them.

"Shut," Jungkook whispered between the kiss they shared, "the fuck," he continued as they kissed hungrily and messily, "up, Taehyung." The King did. He shut up and let his husband kiss him deeply and full of desire.

When they pulled away, they were both breathless and panting. Taehyung was on the bed now and Jungkook was straddling his King. "Your anger won't do anything but cause unnecessary problems. What's done is done and you've said everything you needed to say."

Jungkook's hand flew to Taehyung's throat and he held him to the bed. The Queen's dominance surged. "You will not fight against me, Kim Taehyung. You are done getting angry for today." The King whined as Jungkook gripped Taehyung's throat and lightly squeezed.

"Am I understood, my King?" When Jungkook let go, Taehyung nodded. His eyes widened a bit and he moaned when he felt Jungkook's hand against his throat again.

It drove him insane. He never knew he would react this way to Jungkook's dominance. Choking? Really? That was his thing?

"Good boy. Now, relax." Taehyung nodded. He took deep breaths and slowly let his anger fade away. Jungkook massaged his shoulders and back as the King let himself relax and relieve of his tension.

"Thank you," Taehyung whispered gratefully. Jungkook simply hummed and let his lips ghost over the King's neck.

"For what?" He inquired.

"For keeping me in line. Without you, I'm sure I would have tore this kingdom apart before the civilians could. You keep me in check and make sure I don't lose my full control," the King mumbled. His eyes were closed and he felt bliss wash over him as the younger kissed his neck and massaged his back.

"Mm," Jungkook hummed softly. "Don't thank me, my King. That's the job of the Queen." Taehyung just laughed and pulled the younger down onto the bed. He pressed their lips together and kissed Jungkook deeply.

"Your job, huh? Is that what Seokjin and Jimin told you?" Jungkook's eyes sparkled.

"Absolutely. The King keeps the civilians in check and worries about the Kingdom. However, who do you think keeps the King in check and puts him in his place?" Taehyung smirked and let his thumb slide across Jungkook's bottom lip gently.

"Who?" He mused.

"The Queen."
