It's 2030. You and your love are sitting atop a multi-story garage in the city. You were supposed to be eating at a restaurant but all the restaurants are closed as a result of the world officially ending. The meteor that had been circling around the Milky Way had finally put Earth in its path. Because of this meteor society had gone to shit. Crime had spiked, their reasoning being Earth was getting destroyed and it didn't matter anyways. You both look over the city and watch a building explode in the distance. The ground shakes and people everywhere screech. Sirens and speeding emergency vehicles go off almost instantaneously. Below you two different groups of protesters are yelling below you. Those who don't believe in science and those that are trying to get their children and elders into safe spaces. All the protesters, the emergency people, you and your love, look to the sky. The meteor had entered the earths atmosphere and the sky flashes white and turns orange to match the flames of the burning building. True chaos erupts from the city. Children crying, people running out of shopping malls and vintage stores carrying goods. More screaming from the masses as the meteor is rapidly increasing in size. You scoot closer, asking them to hold you. Kiss me one last time, they say. They caress your face with their hand and lean into you. Your lips touch, just like the meteor to the ground. You think about your family, your friends, the highs and the lows of your life, and most importantly, the person right in front of you. The shockwave blasts everything in an extreme radius. The parking garage you guys are on is obliterated, but not before your bodies have burnt away.
