Chapter Ten...
Quiet Lights
Chapter Ten
(DOUBLE DIGETS!! WHOOW!!)
(Slow, kind of sad chapter...)
Chapter Start!
They road east, across a broken bridge, on plains claimed by Centaurs and to a sea port, also known as; Dove Port.
The town was small, but boats came in and out throughout the day.
People walked, they mostly had pants, and bigger hats, the sun shined bright in this place, and of course, Dove port wouldn't be complete without its Doves, everywhere.
Rita and Gil pulled their horse and carriage over, selling them, the two decided to it to be best to stay at the inn.
Cole was doing better; His color came back more, and he was talking more normally again, but mostly he wanted to go home.
Of course, they had to hide, and the best way to do that is going to a place the King will never find the group...
A Desert Town; The Golden Coat Oasis.
It's a good place to hide, because the man who ran the place so happened to be the Twin brother of Rita.
But to get there, they had to get on a boat, and considering Cole, this task is harder than first thought.
The way to get to this wonderus Oasis, is to leave Dove port for Port Vale, venture north to The Town of Azmar, follow the river, and ride the desert, up north even more to the Oasis.
Rita told Gil he had to convince Cole to get onto the boat, he slowly agreed, and did as so.
But before they left, they headed to an Inn, to settle before leaving once more.
Rita and Ralph left to get tickets for the fairy that went to Port Vale, which was also in the Kingdom of Clyden.
Land of the Elves.
Back at the Inn, Gil looked at Cole, who was looking through his bag...
"Got the Pistol Rose gave you?"
"Yup"
"Bullets?"
"Yup"
"Paints? Pencils? And Chalk?"
"Yup, Yes and yes"
"Sketch book?"
"Of Course?"
"Bandana?"
"Well- yeah" Cole looked up, "Why are asking that?"
"Oh, no reason, I was just wondering if you still had it, Ya know, we're going on a boat..." Gil stopped spilling the news...
"What"
"Okay, to be honest, the only way out of this place is on boat, and Rita said we could hide out at her brothers place until this all blows over, which is a really nice place, no water or really anything except a small pond anywhere! I-it's in a Desert... But Still!" Gil spilled everything quickly to the now pale faced teen.
"Ha ha ha... How long" Cole fake, terrified laugh was bitter.
"Two week at most! Don't Worry! Rita And I Could Take Over An Entire Ship, And Sail It Ourselves!" Gil smiled trying to calm his friend.
"Are you sure? How big is it?" The teen sunk.
"It's Bigger Than The Valor! I'm kind of jealous..." Gil looked down...
"Okay..."
The teen nodded slowly, agreeing, but not.
When the sun finally set, and Rita and Ralph finally made it back, they came with the news that the ship was leaving early the next morning, but the guards are already looking for them...
They had to leave...
And they had to drag Cole onto the boat...
In the Morning, Ralph ended up picking the teen up, and carrying him to the ship, for only right before, he woke up, Gil had to force him on, along with Rita who had to explain he didn't like boats to the Captain of the vessel...
One the Boat, only a few ours went by, before the group found someone... screaming...
Gil bolted to the spot where the person screamed, and found an elderly woman, basically passed out on the deck, next to some barrels.
Some other sailors came running as well, Gil told them to take her to her room, and after the woman was alright, he checked the opened barrel...
First hesitant, but when he recognized the person inside, he just sighed...
It was a Girl... Not any Girl, a Princess; Silvia.
He kicked it.
And she shot awake, jumping up, midnight blue cape flying, she sprang to action.
"G-GIL!?" She almost yelled when she awoke.
"Hello Princess" he only shook his head, putting his hand out, to help her out of the Barrel.
The Princess took the Blacksmiths hand, and climbed out.
"I'm glad I picked the correct ship" she laughed, and Gil laughed, soon leading her to the Captain.
The two talked on the way... Mostly finally catching up...
"Why did you follow us?" Gil gave a longing smirk, happy to see her, but not because of what happened.
"O-oh! N-no reason..." The Princess looked down... Thinking of what her Father told her.
About William, and Becoming a silent Queen...
"Silvia, I've known you for years... What Happened" Gil said, ready to Kill anything.
Silvia looked down...
Only saying one thing...
"Father Picked The Next King..."
Gil looked at her, knowing what this meant...
"I'm Sorry... I got you, If you ever need to talk, come to me"
The two smiled...
And headed to the Captain, for Silvia to pay for her voyage.
Chapter End...
I love Gil and Silvia...
