Chapter Twenty

Chapter Start!

"Must... Keep... Moving..." An injured, Tired Cole spat as he walked...

The heat of the Desert was long gone, and now the boy walked in the snows of the Irasta Ice Formations.

He still held his right hand upon his left, bloody shoulder.

Cole just kept walking...

And walking...

And walking...

"Hey"

And walking...

"Hey! Kid!"

And Walking...

"Hey!" someone stopped the 19 year old, and he looked up, His dull green gold eyes met bright red ones.

It looked to be someone from here, his hair was white, but got darker on the ends, two blue and black horns came out on both sides. He had a blue coat, but fades to a black, it was lined with gold.

"Oh... Hello" Cole gave a small smile.

"Kid, are you... okay...?" he questioned, "What happened?"

"Well..." Cole tried to look at his shoulder, but the burn went up his neck, and he winced in pain.

"F-fire, right?" he tried to joke. "That needs medical attention, come on, I'll take you to the Inn, Come on" the boy dragged Cole to the Inn, and forced him to sit on one of the Beds.

Cole was still kind of out of it all, so he just went with it.

"Alright, stay right there, I'll be right back" the older Boy said, and ran into another room.

Cole sat there for some time until, a big smiling, pink eyed girl came running over, "Hello!" she almost yelled, Cole looked at her, "Hi" he looked her up and down, her hair was a light shade of gray, and she had a maids outfit on.

"What's your name!?" the girl smiled, clearly young.

"C-Cole, what's yours?"

"My, Amazing, Most Wonderfulest Name is! Quinnlee! Nice to meet you Cole" the girl twirled with her answer.

"Quinnlee!" the two turned to see the boy who brought Cole here; he had a Doctor's coat on, and was holding a first aid kit.

"Hi Axel! Did you see this guy here? His hair is like, Super yellow!" she shinned.

"Yes, Quinnlee, I brought him here, Now can you please get me some fresh water?" the boy in the Doctor's coat, Axel, said.

"Alrighty Doc!" she smiled, and ran out the door.

"Alright, come here" Axel gestured for Cole to move over to him.

After Axel cut off Cole's shirt, he cleaned the burn, and wrapped it.

Then he forced Cole to lie down, and let him check the boys temperature.

He was burning up...

"Stay in bed! I'll be back"

A few Day's passed, and Cole was feeling a little better, Quinnlee has been visiting him every day, and she even got him a new shirt! It was a cream color, with green and gray lines at the bottom.

At this point, Axel visited less, he knew Cole was doing better, and didn't fell it was necessary to keep going back. Quinnlee can change his wrap.

But this day, Cole was up and about, and Quinnlee even got him a winter coat, the coat was snow white, with a few golden seems.

The two were outside, playing in the snow, "Oh! Guess what!?" The girl smiled, throwing a snowball at the boy, "What?" he throw one back.

"My Uncle is coming to town!" She jumped into a pile of snow, "that's great!"

"Do you want to meet him? I haven't seen him in Years!" she giggled throwing another snow ball at Cole.

"I'd love to meet him" He gave her a wide smile.

They two laughed...

The day Quinnlee's Uncle came, She dragged the man to the Inn Cole was staying at.

"Come On Uncle! You Have To Meet My New Friend! He was injured for a little bit, But! He's doing much better!" She giggled dragging the bigger man.

"Alright! Wait right there!" she gave a smile, as she made him wait in the hallway. The young teen opened the door, and entered.

"Cole! I brought him!" Quinnlee giggled.

"Quinnlee..." Cole started looking out from his mass of blankets, "It's 6 in the morning... Can this wait...?"

"No! He's right outside!" the girl ran over, and pulled him from the blankets.

"Alright... Let me get a shirt on" Cole yawned, grabbing a shirt to pull over his wrap.

"Goody!" she giggled, and ran back to the door, opening it, she let her Uncle in.

The older man stopped seeing the boy, "t-this is where you've been...?" he asked, and Cole finally looked up.

Fear shot over his face, and he leaned back.

"C-Captain Trials" he stuttered, breathing out.

Quinnlee Jumped in smiling, but looked at their faces, "Do you two know each other already?"

"Yes, this is the Kid we've been looking for" Trials gave an angry look at the boy.

"And this is who hurt me" Cole gave a glare back.

Quinnlee looked at them, going back and forth... "Uncle" she started, looking at Trials, "Please don't hurt him" she started to tear up.

Trials looked at the girl, "Q-Quinnlee! Please don't cry... I won't hurt him if he comes quietly"

She turned to the boy, "I'm not going quietly Quinnlee" Cole glared at the man.

Quinnlee took a deep sigh. "Alright... I'll be back in a minute; I still haven't given you your medicine for the day... haven't I?" She gave a sad sigh, and left the boys there.

"What Have You Done?" Trials looked a Cole, "What have I done!? What Have You Done With My Friends!?"

"They're getting questioned! To Find You!" Trials leaned in.

"Well I'm Sorry I Ran, And Ended Up Here, Sick and oh! I don't know! Injured!" Cole basically yelled at him.

"Well, If You Just Came With Me Back Then, Then You Would Have Been Fine!" Trials yelled back.

"For Crying Out Loud, I'm Not Going!" Cole gave him a look.

But when the door opened, the both quieted down. Quinnlee came in with some Pills, and a drink.

"What are those..?" Trials looked at the Pills and drink.

"Pain killers for the burn" she simple said, and handed them to Cole.

"Oh..." was all the Captain said.

"Now take all of them!" Quinnlee lectured, "Alright..." Cole did as so and looked at Trials...

"So" Quinnlee pulled a chair up for them, and the two sat down. She looked at Cole. "Any Minute now" she sighed.

Cole looked at her... "Any minute what...?" he questioned.

"Any Minute, and the Sleeping Pills will kick in!" she giggled.

"What!?" Both Cole and Trials looked at the Girl.

"W-well, I didn't want my Uncle to hurt you again, so... I gave you sleeping pills, so he can just take you... and no one will get hurt..." she said quietly.

"Thanks, but Why!?" Trials just looked at her, then over to Cole's shocked and scared face.

"Again, Please Uncle, Don't hurt my new friend" she let a tear fall, and the Captain looked at her, "D-don't cry! Please" he said.

"Alright, well, any minute now, he'll be out- oh, never mind" Quinnlee looked up at Cole; he was out cold, asleep on the bed.

"Let me get his stuff, and then you can take him"
