Prologue
"Wren! Wren dear! Don't wander off!" My mother shouts.
"Sorry mummy! But look what I found!" I say in my four-year-old voice holding up a fake green butterfly.
"That's lovely dear but you mustn't wander off! I don't know what I would do if I lost you. Losing Alice was quite enough for one life time." She says.
Alice Liddell was my cousin who disappeared one day while my mother was reading to her outside. When Mum finally noticed her disappearance it was to late. Alice was already gone.
There were search parties and dogs, there was every a section in The Daily Prophet about it. It was headlined 10-year old Alice Liddell disappears. There was even a reward for whoever found dear old Alice. I hadn't been born yet.
But as luck would have it, I was born on the same day as Alice. May 4, 1867. I had the same blonde hair and the same blue eyes.
Once more I ran off, away from my mother. In search of an adventure; as usual. I came upon the tree where my cousin was last seen. I craned my neck to look up at the trunk of the tree. It was big and fat.
Mummy came soon after about to scold me when she noticed where we were.
"Come on." she said. "Let's go."
The memories were to much for her; so she always just ran away from.
Always putting my "madness" to an end.
