Do u get updated whenever I edit any previous chapters? 'Cause we used to, then it became that we didn't, but now it's possible we do now again?

Idk a few times happened where I got notified of someone updating something. The most significant examples would be two certain fanfics, where each of their chapters appeared in my notifications as updated.

So yeah, I'm just wondering.
