Odd Lunchtime
I sat at the table by myself, watching the group of kids on the other side of the cafeteria.
Actually, I was watching one in particular. I thought he was so cute, and I had had a crush on him all year.
While I was staring at him, I heard something on my tray. Not bothering to look down, I picked up the sandwich I had gotten for lunch.
As I was about to bite into it, I stopped.
The boy was walking towards me. He was holding his tray. He was looking at me and grinning wider than I thought was possible.
But I didn't realize what was happening until it was too late.
Instead of sitting across from me, he sat next to me. As he sat down, he had stopped grinning and was giving me a serious look.
Confused, I decided to try eating my lunch again. As I brought my sandwich closer to my face, I was watching the boy sitting next to me.
A split second later, I felt something bite my nose, hard.
That caught my attention.
I finally looked down my nose to find my sandwich attached where the end of my nose should be.
I frantically tried to pull it off of my face, but before long I couldn't move. It had paralyzed me.
I thought I was going to be eaten by my lunch, but this was not the case.
I suddenly saw why the boy had stopped smiling when he sat next to me.
He grinned again, but this time it was an evil expression, as if to say, "ha. You're trapped. Your blood will be my meal."
