Love
Say what you will about romantic love; I think there's something very special about it. In a good family, your family will always love you. They will always tell you that you're the best and that you can do anything. You're perfect the way you are. Next thing you know, you're being sent out into the cruel world that says "be yourself, but not like that." Family will support you always, for better or for worse. Romantic love is different. Somebody picks you out from the crowd and loves you. Now, I'm not talking short, 3-week long couples that bounce around too often. I'm talking deep in love, do-anything-for-you kind of love. Family always says "I love you," but when you're kind of obligated to love each other, no matter if you really do, it doesn't quite have that strong of effect. Romantic love says "I see your flaws and love you anyway." Family will always be supportive, society will drag you down, but your true love will show you that you're more than you see yourself as. They chose you from the bunch over everybody else, even when they see your flaws, and still love you anyway when they could have just as easily turned you away. I think that's something to be cherished.
Sorry this was short, weird, and rather awful. My mind thinks the strangest things at night. I should probably sleep.
