so today I was working on the drum brakes of a mazda truck, right? 

well we use grease to keep all the parts slippery so they don't make noise while in use- 

and I was wearing a bandaid while working cuz I cut my thumb a couple days ago on a dust cap- 

and the grease stained my hand ;-;

yes I'm aware of how pale I am- silence

b u t  l i k e- 

also these are drum brakes for those of you who aren't car nerds/mechanics- the wire mechanic twisted around the left side pulls on that metal lever which causes the shoes (metal walls) to expand and press against the cover that's put over the entire thingo when the brake pedal is pressed- 

it took a total of sixish hours for me to disassemble and reassemble two of them over yesterday and today o-O

not to mention I also had to set the truck up on a lift, break the lug nuts, take both rear wheels off, repeat the process backwards once I was finished, and adjust the brakes after reassembling- I did have one of my classmates helping me though which made it go a whole lot faster
