ONE CHILD POLICY

What is it?

It's a Chinese government law regarding how many children a couple can have. If the said couple has more than one child, they are fined $17 300 each per addition child, along with that, they don't get housing benefits and parents aren't allowed to get job promotions, higher paying jobs, ect.

Why do I disagree with it?

Population is a serious issue at times but controlling the amount of offspring they have is no one's business but their own. Government should not deprive parents with 3 children of jobs and housing benefits. People should be able to decide how many children they want.

What is my opinion on those who agree with it?

I got nothing against you but why? Image wanting a children, not a child, and having a law that doesn't permit you to have more than one. In that situation, add along the fact that you can't afford to pay the fine. Isn't it painful? Image how they must feel, put your selfish feelings aside and think about how the couple in mention feels when they see their only child, and want so badly to have another, but guess what? They can't.

Why did I speak about this?

I chose this because I found the topic interesting. And i wanted to know your opinions. We were talking about this during class today and it sparked my interest because as you've read above, I don't agree with it.
