Mirrors

Are mirrors the worst invention ever made?

We are drawn to them.

We look in them,

but do we ever see what we want to see?

Are we forever searching

beyond the image, for something that doesn't exist?

Are we ever happy with what we see?

Will we ever be happy

with what we see?

If there were no mirrors,

would we see ourselves differently?
