Chapter 9

Chapter 9

"To get married," Luciano said, his lips curving into a smile against my lips. I took a moment to catch my breath and then I backed away, confused. What?

"What?"

"Didn't you want that, princess?" He asked, his face full off excitement.

"Right now?"

"Then when? Is it a problem? Or have you changed your mind?"

I shook my head and narrowed down my eyes. Emotions went through me. I wanted to marry Luciano for reasons I couldn't explain but I never thought he'd agree to it so quickly. He was clearly hesitant at first when I asked him about it for the first time.

Maybe these few weeks forced him to think about it all.

"No, I don't but right now?" I asked again, hoping he was joking. It was late at night and I was sure that no churches or priests would get ready right now to get us married—was that even possible?

His hands slipped under my dress and he cupped my breasts as his large frame hovered over mine, "Do you have a problem?"

With the soft light in the car, I realized how much more handsome he was. I admired his features and found myself losing in his beautiful eyes all over again. A deep growl vibrated from his chest and his nose nuzzled under my ears in a flash.

"Not at all," I whispered, closing my eyes and diving into the pure pleasure that I felt. Being in his arms kept me safe, he was the perfect man I ever wanted. I was in love and I couldn't deny it anymore.

I loved Luciano.

His teeth nipped on my fragile skin and he pulled away after a moment, "Then we will be going to get married,"

"What about Nana? I want her to come," I said, getting up and fixing my dress to sit straight in the car. My back was breaking by laying on this crooked car and with Luciano above me, it made it worse.

"It's a small thing, Red. We have the whole celebration and fireworks later on," he replied back.

"But—" I paused, "What about your parents? Your council? Don't you require to request an approval from them?"

Luciano looked at me like I was joking, "Really? Of course, I don't." He slapped his hand over my head reminding me that he was an adult and the king of werewolves.

He was perfect—for me and our child.

My heart was a little anxious as I never thought about marriage or being in love with someone before Luciano ever came by but everything changed and it surprised me, how someone could change your entire life in just a few months.

"We are here," the driver announced, stopping his car by a church. I peeped outside the window to see where we were, it was clearly not the castle or Brittleburgh.

"Where are we?" I asked Luciano as I stepped out of the car with him.

"At a church," he said, vaguely.

"I know that but where is it?"

He wrapped his large hands around mine and moved in closer, "It's around the area, nearby. Don't you want to get married in a church?"

"Yes. But..." I paused and set my eyes on him while remembering the first days I was with him, "...like you're not even a believer."

"So?"

I pursed my lips together and came to an conclusion that it didn't affect Luciano at all. He was doing this for me, in the way I liked rather than thinking about himself and that itself forced a wide smile out of me.

"Okay, you're being too sweet, you're going to make me cry now!" I exclaimed, slapping my palm over my eyes to hide my tears. Everything was overwhelming and it was happening all of sudden that I didn't even get a second to think.

He leaned down and gave me a kiss on my hands and then moved it away to kiss my cheeks, "Don't hide yourself from me,"

I stopped smiling like crazy and took a moment to calm down my racing heartbeat, "Why?"

"Why, what?"

"Why do you want to marry me?"

"Why not? You're perfect and you're my mate and you're beautiful and you're the mother of my child." He declared, his hands moving all over my face as I blushed hard.

"That are too many good qualities, Luciano. You're missing some bad ones," I reminded him.

"Like? I don't remember anything," His eyes filled with amusement as he looked at the sky, ignoring everything I had done before.

"Fine, fine. It's getting cold here. Can we go inside?"

"We have to wait for Ben,"

Wait. What? "Ben? He is in this too?" I asked, furrowing my brows together.

"Yes. He's grabbing a minister,"

"Grabbing?" My eyes widened with his use of words.

"Yes, grabbing as in kidnapping."

"But—"

"Shush, it's all right, just a few minutes and he will come."

The loud voice of an engine roaring forced a gasp out of me. I turned around to see a car pulling up and in there was Ben and another male from the castle who I couldn't well recognize. The car stopped and Ben stepped out.

"Be ready lovelies, I got what y'all need." He said, pulling out a minister from his car who was still in his sleep. It was no other than Mr. Brown, the minister of the church I had been going to since I was a child. I couldn't believe it that Ben would grab him—no wonder why he wanted to stay in town for a while longer. "It's going to be short so play along and get my friends married before I kill you, all right?" Ben said to the minster who was too scared to even utter a single word.

When he nodded his head and willingly walked inside the closed church, I followed behind and stayed silent. The candles were lightened on the altar and we were brought forward. I stood beside Luciano, hand in hand as countless thoughts ran across my head. There was no flower girls, no congregation, no worship songs or bridesmaids, it was just me and him, tying ourselves into a sacred union, away from the entire world and infront of God.

The minister started off with charging us both, reminding that we were standing in front of God and making a sacred expression of love for each other.

A moment after that Ben whispered our names to him.

"Red Wallow, do you take Luciano Hanson to be your wedded husband, and in the presence of these two witnesses do you promise to do your very best each day to create a loving, healthy and a happy marriage?" Mr. Brown asked.

I took in a deep breath of air and nodded my head, "Yes, yes, I do."

The minster looked over at Luciano and got a little more frightened, "Luciano Hanson...do you take Red Wallow to be your wedded wife, and in the presence of these two witnesses do you promise to do your very best each day to create a loving, healthy and a happy marriage?" He asked.

Luciano set his wild gaze on me, he curled his fingers around my hand and smiled, "Yes, I do."

"Great, you can say your wedding vows...if you have any," The minster stuttered.

"Nah, skip to the kissing part." Luciano said, tugging me closer to his body. I giggled silently at his quickness to just kiss me. "Come on,"

Mr. Brown shifted and gulped, "Now that Red and Luciano have given themselves to each other by the promises they have exchanged, I pronounce them to be husband and wife, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen." He said before moving his gaze to Luciano. "You can kiss your bride now,"

"Finally, I was dying for this," he whispered, dropping my hands and leaning in to giving me a long kiss filled with intimate love and compassion.

We were now married.
