Description: An XS regular colored male Tepig with scared eyes.

Personality: An introverted and meek Tepig, Barium is a kindhearted Pokémon with a supposed appetite (according to a Starter Squad member. Barium isn't the strongest willed Pokemon, nor is he confident, at least until he saves the world and works alongside Radon. He is a skilled swimmer and has a natural affinity with it. Barium also finds bird Pokemon annoying, especially Pidgey. The Tepig also seems to have a sixth sense, believing Frisk and Nezcroma despite what everyone else believes, being far more open-minded towards the idea of dying and resetting as well as naturally being less judgmental towards Pokemon if they seem nice enough.

History: Barium was born in a farm to abusive owners. They would beat him and other Pokemon, not caring if they were an old Raboot or a baby Axew. His owners are the ones who killed his parents. When Barium was six he and Gallium, a female Torchic, planned to escape the farm with the help of a shiny Miltank. The attempt initially failed until the blue Miltank helped, although she got shot and presumably died. Sometime after that Barium and Gallium separated ways and Barium made his way to the Starter Squad. 

When Missing Science occurs, the sun has been taken away for a month. Barium is a part of the Starter Squad for about one year, although he hasn't been a part of anything major, just helping other Pokemon in the Squad with simple chores because a Pokemon (Pikagirl can create who it is. I don't want it to be Paarthurnax though) thought he didn't look up to the task of rescuing others just yet. However, things take a turn for sweet Barium for the better. Nezcroma needs his help in clearing his name. Barium has believed that he was innocent himself when he saw they took him in earlier, and decided to help him as well as find to sun to see who really stole the sun since the sun is still missing. Around this point is when a Litten named Radon joins the Starter Squad, introduced by none other than Eule; this takes place before Eule joins the Ghost Squad. Barium is immediately enamored, and Eule partners him and her up presumably under Paarthurnax's orders. Barium takes her to his room so she can settle in and he feels compelled in some manner to tell her about Nezcroma's innocence despite how new she was to the Squad. (the story said Nezcroma told him but as I reread the story myself I didn't read that anywhere although I was looking for Lunala's name) Radon agrees that they must help Nezcroma clear his name and they set out to find Lunala. (although idk why they need to find Lunala. There's a ton of plot holes in this story I'm realizing.) Nezcroma tells them her whereabouts and the two set off to the waterfall near the Starter Squad. (My mapping sucks too apparently. Unless Pikagirl wants to make the Moonrise Waterfall be located near the Starter Squad for some reason. Guess I have some lore to explain.) The two jump into the waterfall (like in Mystery Dungeon) and Barium starts to regret jumping into the waterfall. It doesn't take long for Radon to fall into a river in the cave. (yay! Don't you love this story? A river in a cave. Even me as I was writing that was like When do rivers appear underground? Lol) Barium jumps into the water and saves Radon. The two continue in the cafe, fighting the bat creatures inside it. (Even now I think this is very fitting, but some of the other stuff I wrote is probably confusing and random. Forget radon it's Random....) Barium doesn't fight them. Radon, meanwhile, cooks them with her strongest fire type moves. (Fire Fang, Flameflower, and Fire Blast) Barium finally realized he needs to help her and uses Flame Charge. Eventually they clear out the bats and meet up with a new Gliscor ally: Jab. They fight him and Jab accidentally almost poisons Barium to death and makes a slight joke out of it despite the situation. (Sorry, but he literally poisons him and stalled a bit just to show a berry.) After eating the berry (and having Jab and Radon basically scream at him. Sorry. That's what it looks like rereading my fanfiction.) and Jab admitting they won the battle (probably because he felt bad for nearly killing Barium and making a joke out of it let's be honest), Lunala shows up impressed at them for beating her bat Pokémon. (masochist.) She decides to help them because she knows Nezcroma as they are friends. (Jab calls Nazcroma her boyfriend. Lol) She has an idea on who could've stolen the sun, but there's no concrete evidence, and after Barium confirms they think he's innocent, Lunala offers her wing and forces Jab to help too. (and for whatever reason Jab wants to meet Vesuvius...lol) When they get Paarthurnax is mad, yet has a certain fondness for Barium and allows him to take on the sun case because without the sun it is cold. (obviously) They set off to save the sun and start by visiting a Dusk form Lycanroc named Prism in the Alola region. (forgot she exist tbh.) Not before a lazy Meowth threatens them for even looking at his sandwich and telling them where the Lapras rides are. (sorry I had to add that. It's funny to me.) The two and their flying friends ride Lapras and meet Vesuvius. (He spawned into existence) They then (presumably) get off the Lapras and find Prism after sneaking around Professor Kukui's lab. Prism helps them (and helps Radon's wounds)and they continue their journey.

Eventually, Barium and friends learn it was Solgaleo who stole the sun and they try to stop him. A fierce battle rages on and with the help of his friends Barium defeats him and the sun is returned. 

Ten or more Years later Barium meets Frisk, a very DETERMINED soul who is destined to save the Pokémon World. Being tasked with watching over them and their friends, Barium, Radon, and a now-evolved Vesuvius join Frisk and Barium grows to be even braver, albeit still a little antsy at times. When Frisk tells Barium about their "supposed loss" against Kagis which no one remembers except them, Barium believes them because of the terrified expression on their face. Radon also believes them, noting Kagis straying out of the StarterSquad HQ at night. Barium also believes Senpai's statements about both Kagis and Eigintte (I forgot how to spell his name. Dang) despite being scared of Senpai. Barium is one of the first starters to join the fight once Jabetu starts the war. 

A few months later he meets Akari and the two join forces a few times. 

Currently, he is still working for the Squad, searching for a missing Prism who was never seen again after the fight with Jabetu.

Note: This Pokemon is a part of an all fire team. I was thinking of making him evolve into his Kalosian form once Legends ZA comes out, but for now he's our sweet little Tepig. Also Pikagirl is there any story or any possible way the sun can be implemented out in any of your fanfictions? I think it would make the events more canon(?) and I really want to express this idea of just how dark it truly was. I can also implement this into Eruption as well since that's Vesuvius' story and he's a part of this fire-type team. I think I put this into Criminal Attraction as well since that takes place right after Barium, Radon, and Vesuvius save the sun. This also reminds me I should probably do something more with Prism, Shikiru (Male Chikorita), and Marashi (female Cybdaquil).
