Killia
Zeldris knew it was stupid he was freaking out over this. After all his older brother was dying and the only way to save him was to look for a dead end. Hèll he knew the chances of his brother living were in the wind. Don't even get him started on Estarosa. God knows why he wasn't speaking at all. It was like he was broken ever since that pink haired beats whispered something into his ear.
Yet, here he sat on the roof of his brother's business wondering how he could have a sister he never had before. He was sitting up there just waiting to find an answer or something. He just sat there watching the stars Meliodas once went on he would love looking at. The same once him and Gelda used to sneak out to meet up and watch together.
He just sat there wondering many things when he felt someone sit down next to him. It took him a second before he glanced over at the person sitting down showing it was Ban. He grumpily looked away.
"If you're here to slice me open that's not going to work out well...for the last time I know nothing about his Mi-a-gasa or what ever the hèll her name is!" Zeldris snapped focusing on a bright star. He just was watching for a while before relaxing Ban was still sitting there. Zeldris went to snap at him again when they made eye contact.
Ban looked tired. Like more than normal kinda of tired.
"It's okay to be upset you know. You hardly knew her because someone made a decision for you and that's not okay..it's okay to be upset." Ban sighed.
"I am not upset."
"Then why did you lock yourself up on a roof and are now refusing to talk to anyone?" Ban asks making Zeldris scoff as he looks away. The roof stayed quiet as the two just sat there silently watching the stars listening to crickets for a while.
"Why did you even-"
"You and you're brother remind me so much of Kilia..she never got to live to be your age but my god you guys act like her. Whenever she would get upset she would wait until night and sit on the roof or just pretend everything was fine before breaking down...when she would I would have to hold her as tight as I could until she calmed down." Bam sighed looking up at the sky seeming to fall quieter with every word.
".....Who's Killa?" Zeldris asked hoping he got her name right.
"She was my little sister....she died when she turned 6 and a half...she was so small when she left that you would have thought she was a doll when she died...I remember when she died and a few other things but, I don't have a lot of care free ones with her. They were all about taking care of her or helping her calm down or protecting her from my parents....but, what I do remember helps me with my friends. The way I calmed her down works with Meliodas and the way I teased her works with King....." Ban's eyes seemed to lose their shine. Instead they just looked dead as ever.
"W..why are you bringing her up?"
"I got a chance to heal and meet her but you didn't. You didn't and your hurt so bad that you have reverted to acting like a scared little kid."
"Wow..thanks for making me feel better." Zeldris scoffed moving back.
"What I'm saying is when Killia didn't wanna talk or do much she would do what you're doing...I'm going to tell you the same thing I told her, if you just lock yourself away your emotions will eat you up until there's nothing left. So it's better to talk before you become a Skelton." Ban smiled leaning against the smaller boy. Zeldris just sat there for a second falling silent before he finally broke. He began sniffling before spinning around and sobbing into his chest. Ban sighed rubbing his back giving him a comforting smile letting the little boy cry.
Once he was done, Zeldris had exhausted himself so much that he had dozed off. Ban smiled picking him up like he was a toddler and carrying him all the way to his room. He hummed finding himself fixing his hair before laying him down to sleep. As he pulled the sheets over him, he found himself looking at his childish cheeks that had tears stains on them making him sigh.
It was just as if Kilia was once again home.
