Chapter 14
:ATTENTION, THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT, PLEASE READ-
Sooner or later within this week, sjskj1234 and I will be releasing a book project we have started together. (Yes, I am open to book projects through kik. The maximum I can do are 3, currently I am participating in 2. There's one more spot) For the better convenience of my friend and I, I shall post the first chapter so it's more noticeable. You will soon be able to find it titled as "The Lonely Shadow," upon my account sometime this very week. We are working together to make the fluff = suspense, to hopefully leave you wanting more each chapter.
SET UP
The set up is fairly simple. I post the first chapter (I'll inform you when it's out) in order to read the next chapter, sjskj1234 will then post her chapter. Thus, leaving me in charge of posting odds, and her in charge of even chapters. On her profile, when it releases, for an easy find...it will ALSO be titled as "The Lonely Shadow."
WARNING
IF the book is not doing well over a three month time period, sadly, it will be discontinued along my account. As for hers, she may then choose to drop it..or continue alone. So please, with all due respect to the creators as well as readers...at least give a like. It shows you appreciate it in some way, and it makes ME as a writer happy. I love feedback. Just tell us how we're doing. Comment...or give a like. This goes on to other writers and their readers as well. RESPECT the work we put in to give you a well enthused reading.
DESCRIPTION ("The Lonely Shadow")
Mia is just your average day-by-day girl. One you'd find silently enjoying a book, or studying for a test, maybe even sitting alone at lunch. Suddenly, when forced to transfer from the comfort of her home in North Carolina to a small place called Beach City, she finds herself in the midst of a bright beautiful sandy beach, in a small town, with little people, and few shops located in practically the middle of NOWHERE. But things might take a turn for the worse when she discovers the unnatural secrets and untold pasts of her new home...

Chapter 14
-Cover it up-
-Ruby-
Pearl's P.O.V
Pearl scrubbed her hands free of the vile sticky liquid that clung to her slender fingers. She washed out the sponge in the kitchen sink, staining the bottom with a light reddish color. The smell, almost unbearable. She gagged while working at cleaning it all out...she couldn't let ANYONE see. Quickly, hurry! The warp pad sounded from behind her, sending chills up her spine, making her hide the dirtied sponge off to the side out of panic. "Steven?"
"Connie, go home now!" Steven shouted. "I'll call you later..."
Connie left without showing a moment's hesitance. Her fast footsteps trailing off to the beach and beyond, leaving the screen door shutting loudly behind her.
"Pearl..." Steven's voice echoed across the room.
Shakily, she turned towards him. Doing the best she could to hide her fear. Her hands trembled as she tried folding them down. I-it's over...
Steven ran up and grabbed Pearl quickly, embracing her skinny frame In his arms. "I-I know who took Garnet." He confessed. "A-Amethyst! She tried..h-hiding it from everyone...trying to pin the blame on...you. " He looked up into her wide eyes. "She wa-wanted to get rid of her!"
This was news to Pearl. Yes, she took her Steven... her hands reached up and ruffled his hair, soothing him...calming Rose. "That's horrible! Wh-why? How could she do such a thing!"
Steven shook his head with disbelief. "I don't know...I never suspected her, but after a lot of thinking...I knew."
In her mind she saw herself cutting the scalp off Steven, the blade piercing his heart and carving out his gem for her own keepsake...but she shook it off. "I never suspected her...we need to confront her about this!"
I just have to buy time...
Sapphire's P.O.V
The perfect moment came, the one she'd been waiting for...The rope snapped at the ice's demise, scraping her skin from its tight release. She broke loose and raced to put on her clothes, knocking over a small frosty globe that resided on the bedside table. She picked it up and held it to the dim light from above. "AGH!!!!" Her voice cracked. "A-Ame-Ameth-thyst!?!?!?!"
Inside the delicate trinket was a purple gem, surely like Amethyst's, only thing off; the four nearly deep chinks located around the edges. "No! No...nonono..." She drew in a sharp breath and stiffled an aching moan. Then she tucked it tightly in her arms and bolted out of the room, concentrating what little energy she had left on her future vision, even though it wasn't working very well. Ruby? Steven!?
She left the temple and fled to the living room. No one!? But something was odd. She hoped Steven was somewhere safe with Connie, far away from this mad house.
She then hurried to the basement part of the temple. Empty. No one... Tears streamed down her face while she focused her gaze downwards to the tiny snow globe containing Amethyst's lifeless gem, the cracks already starting to spread. Only a little time until... She sniffled and formed an ice blue thin, lightweight bubble around it and sent it up. "GAH!!!"
Above her dangled a giant multicolored spider in place of all the gem bubbles. Each of the eight legs split into four protruding arms that had four hands and five fingers on each, gripping the ceiling firmly to hold itself up. Amethyst's bubble had already sunken inside it's abdomen and slowly floated through a jelly tube to to the gathering of other gems. The body glowed brightly, turning purple and sprouting light purple hairs, adding two more eyes to it's collection of eighteen various ones. The limbs, slowly becoming crystallized.
"Create......crrreeeEEAATEE......Xc3@#!Te......BECOME! @#?! 24SLü!" It shrieked in gibberish "crrrrrrrRRRREEEEAAAAAAAKKKKKK!!!!!!!"
A strong force of wind tugged at her body, trying to drag her upwards but she stood her ground. Clenching her hands. Letting her hair reveal the seriousness in her eye. She took one last look at it until something bright caught her eye. One most recognizable gem amongst the others. One that was brighter than the dulled ones. One unlike them all, not cracked nor shattered but one she could never forget. "You took her..." She panted, breathing heavily.
"?@#.... Sa-Sa-Sapph-Sapphire-ire!!!! SAPPHIRE!!!!! The-the-there's my laughy- !@#?!- Sa-Sa-Sapphy..." It replayed Ruby's voice, trying to taunt her, but she didn't give in.
She gritted her teeth, forcing the lump down her throat. "And you WILL give her back. IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!"
((I sense the ending of this book, is almost among us... So how'd you guys like it? I was listening to "The Disappearance of the girl" by Phildel...and I cried a LOT typing this chapter. Cry with me guys. :'( Let me know if you liked it and hit that star! Don't forget to vote for the ship in the comments if you want to. Love you guys. With love -Fanfiction365))
