FANNOUNCEMENTS- Ok, so I didn't post yesterday when I should have. Sorry fans. I had one heck of a migraine and I intended on updating, when really I went to the table, curled up, and DREW THAT WONDERFUL GARNET THAT STANDS PERFECTLY BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES!!!!!!!!! For AGSapphire because I absolutely admire how you like Ruby and Sapphire so much, just combined that love. And remember my little sinnies (prolly a made up word...) TODAY happens to be a SINFUL SATURDAY! >:) AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (^_^)

-Aftermath pt 1-

Steven's P.O.V

"So that's how it happened. Apparently we had it all wrong. Peridot hadn't captured Garnet, PEARL had, at first I believed it was Amethyst because she hadn't been acting like herself either-"

"And that was when you went after her yourself right?" Connie said, the apple juice box straw wedged in between her lips. 

"Yep. But then luckily Garnet showed up and got Pearl!" He exclaimed while looking out over at the sea. He decided to leave the machete with blood, killing amethyst, and tears he and Garnet shed part out. It seemed better that way, like a mystery in the Unfamiliar Familiar book series he'd read a while back, instead of what it really was. 

"So-" She sipped her juice and crinkled the box up and set it back down. "What ever happened to Amethyst and Pearl?"

"Oh-u-um...well, I think Amethyst went back to normal. And Pearl got a timeout from Garnet."

"Oooh I hate timeouts. Especially my moms'. Whenever she uses the abacus I always know what's coming to me. My dad's pretty lenient on his punishments he dishes out for me, and boy am I thankful. " She smiled at Steven. "Do you get punished, you know with you being older you probably have more responsibilities and privacy and whatnot. "

"Well I don't know. If I do something wrong Pearl usually squawks about it, but Amethyst and Garnet aren't like that. Amethyst's chill, and Garnet just reminds me that everyone makes mistakes sometimes. " 

"Who do you like better?" 

Steven folded his arms across his chest uncomfortably and fell back on the sand to stare into the clear blue sky. "I don't really know..." 

She smiled. "I'm sure you love them all the same. They are your family, and so is Greg."

Dad. "Yeah. " Steven sighed, watching the birds fly by way above his head. He breathed in the hot humid air and fanned himself a little. THUD, Connie was beside him, he could feel her warm hand in his. It felt really good. 

"You don't seem really happy to have your family all back together."

"IT'S BECAUSE WE AREN'T TOGETHER!" He lashed out accidentally, making Connie's hand shrink back defensively. "I-sorry-It's just, even though everything is normal now-I just-I don't know. I feel alone. " Why would Pearl do that? 

"Steven..." 

He knew she was busy thinking. Whenever she said his name like that-like she felt sorry for him losing someone, he always knew she was busy deciding over whether to toughen him up, or wrap his hand in hers. Well he didn't really want her pity right now, and he wasn't going to have it either. "Steven's not here." He stood and trudged off to the boardwalk, figuring, rather than go inside to the Crystal SHARDS he could spend some time with weirdo Onion or something. 

"STEVEN!" 

He was yanked back to face her, his phone falling out of his pocket into the sand. She stared at him with angry eyes...and then tears slipped down her cheeks, mouth curving down into a frown, as she pulled him in for a tight hug. Her arms wrapped around his sides and joined at his back. 

"Please-" She sobbed in between fierce hiccups and moans. "D-Don't leave m-me Steven..." 

He stared at Connie solemnly for a while, then leaned forward and pecked her cheek briskly with his soft lips. "I won't ever leave you." 

-Aftermath pt 2- 

Amethyst's P.O.V 

Amethyst pulled out a family photo from her pile of junk. Pearl, Rose, Garnet, and herself...back during the good times. Back when everything was calm and chill and Pearl bragged about her false love with Rose. Back when Garnet was funny. Back when Rose loved everyone and cared for Amethyst. Back when Amethyst wasn't so hated 24/7, when she wasn't left out or discriminated against because of where she came from. It wasn't so bad to her, but she soon came to believe that she was something that was better left for dead. 

"Amethyst you know WHAT you are. YOU KNOW WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!!! WHY WE HATE YOU SO MUCH!!!! YOU STAY AWAY FROM GARNET! SHE'LL NEVER COME TO ACCEPT YOU! NO ONE WILL!!!!" 

It was true. She was a gem made for the absolute destruction of all humans and rebel gems. She came from one of the most historically worst things to ever take place on Earth, The Kindergarten. They hated her because of what she was going to be, of what she was supposed to do. Amethyst was attracted to Garnet, but it would never happen. Three's a crowd right. No one would accept her ever, they'd always look back instead of forward. The past was a path they already took, one they'd already trudged on, sights they'd all seen. Of course they'd look back, no one ever knows what lies ahead. 

But Amethyst didn't care. If Amethyst would never be accepted, Pearl was in the same boat with her  after what she'd done just now. Tried killing Steven was what Amethyst heard from Garnet, and that deserved the lowest of the low spots. Pearl was forever in a place BELOW Amethyst now, and begging for forgiveness wasn't getting her anywhere! Amethyst would make sure of that... 

((It's literally snowing again here thanks to weird weather. :) So guys I hope you liked that chapter because the next chapter is sadly...the LAST OF THIS BOOK EVER!!!! NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! The next one is the Aftermath pt 3, starring Ruby and Sapphire. :) OHHHH YEAH!!!!! Might wanna do a recap and reread the first chapter of this book because that's kinda how it's gonna be.  I'm making it EXTRA FLUFFY. And because it's ending...Shipapalooza is returning. I really don't want for this book to end though, it was one of the highest books I ever created. And I'm gonna miss the amount of fun I had writing it. It feels like I'm leaving you guys. God I love you all so much for reading this and sticking with me through that tough hiatus I had. *internet hugs you all* I enjoyed all the twists and turns in this book, and soon, I feel like I've gotta make another one.
