She didn't mean for it to happen. Neither did he. They had agreed to a simple date night, neither one had intentions of things going as far as they did.

"I'm glad you are my girl." He said looking at her with smiling eyes from his seat in the bed of the pickup truck beside her.

Blush heated her face as she turned away, her heart feeling light as a feather. "We should eat our picnic." She pushed back her hair.

They ate in a sweet silence filled with the sound of crickets in the tall grass. After they had cleared the food into the wicker basket, they laid on their backs to admire the stars.

"Aren't the stars beautiful tonight?" She had whispered in awe.

He had answered, "Not near as beautiful as you." Then had kissed her.

She cried now as she lay in her own bed at home. Guilt weighed her down. The simple kiss had grew into something so much more faster than she could think to stop it. Her life wouldn't be the same again, she feel changed. A secret thought stirred through her mind. No one would ever have to know. They wouldn't tell. She would make sure and tell him that this was something that only they could know. Besides, one time would be the end of it. She'd make sure of it. And there was nothing to show the act. They were clear. And things could go back to normal as if it never happened.
