"Gah!" I cried angrily.
I shook Kaden again, harder than before. Thankfully, he opened his eyes.
"Lizzie, what- oh son of a b***h!" He cried, grabbing his head near the bruise.
"Yeah sorry, that was probably Scar." I said, "you have a tv anywhere?"
"Small one in the kitchen..." he said, "jeezus my whole body aches..."
That tends to happen when you're thrown into a wall. Scar said, even though she knew only I could hear it.
I went into the kitchen, grabbed the remote near the tv, and turned it onto the news network.
"...The body of twenty six year old Kaylee Donovan had been discovered, just a day after the body of Carter Hartman was found. Donovan was dismembered and her body was dumped in a field near her condo where she lived with friends. Although the causes of death are different, many local authorities believe the deaths aren't a coincidence..."
"D***it Scar!" I yelled, "This is why I don't let you take control! I can tell you it won't happen again! Ever!"
We'll see about that, Lizzie dear. She said.
"Wait, Liz..." Kaden asked, looking away, his face turning red, "are you...wearing a shirt?"
S**t. I drew the sheet tighter around my top half.
"No," I said, feeling my face heat up, "Scar thought she'd try to be helpful and not have me wake up with a bloody shirt."
"Well, um, uh, let me see if I have something you can wear, that's not um, too big for you..."
He walked away, but kept babbling away to himself, obviously flustered.
"I really hate you, you know that?" I grumbled at Scar.
Easy, I can always kill him for real. Scar threatened, and anyone else if I wanted to.
"And I can always take measures so you never hurt any one ever again." I countered.
Kaden brought back a t-shirt that I guessed was his. It was a little big, but Kaden went into the next room so I could slip it on. I went back into the living room.
"I am so done with all of this.." I groaned.
"Hmm...between your nightmare, and the difference in deaths.. I'd say that Scar can turn into nightmares." Kaden speculated, sitting on the couch.
"That seems like a stretch, considering we don't have much going on." I said, sitting next to him.
"Well, then we have some work to do." He smiled.
