Darcy and Alan walked toward the black-suited man that held a sign bearing Alan's name. He was to drive them to Alan's temporary residence in New York City, Alan and Darcy were to stay there until Alan's start-off album was finished.
Alan gave Darcy a kiss and opened the door, "Wish us luck!" He merrily told the man that drove them there
"That I shall Mr. Alan." He bowed and walked away, Alan gave him a look as the he left. Alan had specifically told the man to call him Alan. Not Mr. So and Such. But the man's formalities and manners overtook the need to listen to Alan's request.
"Look at this place Darce!" Alan yelled to the vaulted ceiling, the apartment was pretty much one big high-ceilinged room, "It's almost as great as your song-writing skills are!!" The guitar was in it's case on his back, he carried it from place to place and wouldn't let the airline company check it in as stow-a-way baggage.
"The only reason why I write great songs is because I have great inspiration." She kissed the tip of his nose, "There is a pinball machine in the corner, if you can't beat my high score; you're making our dinner." She started walking away but turned around at the last moment and started walking backwards, "And no take out."
...
"Ready for our first opening concert?" Reed asked Lola as they walked toward the doors of Lotsa Lanes Bowling Alley, before Reed's band's first ever opening show, he wanted to take her out on a fun bowling date.
"You mean your first opening concert." Lola pointed out, "I'm not part of your band."
"Geez okay." Reed help up his hands in surrender, "Do you want to play one round or two?"
"Reed, I have to leave."
"Our game? But..."
"No. I have to leave town for the agency to do a photo-written brochure for Hawaii." She picked out her bowling shoes
"But Lola, you promised that you'd come to my concert." He gave her a puppy-dog frown
"I can make the first but not the second. I have to leave tomorrow." She slipped the shoes on, "I might not be able to stay the entire concert tonight too. I might have to get home early and get to bed early. It's a 6:30 flight."
Reed put his head on her shoulder, "But it can always be delayed..."
"I doubt it."
"C'mon babe, why do you hate my music so much?"
"I don't hate your music. I just hate everyone in the band. A couple of guys are okay but the rest try to hit on me and shit."
"It's okay. I'll tell them to stop."
"I doubt that's going to help." Lola sighed, "Anyway, let's bowl."
