Ward woke up in the middle of the night to see Skye was gone. He got out of bed and walked through the base. He found Skye in the kitchen drinking hot chocolate and came up beside her.
"Hey," he said and gently wrapped his arm around her.
"Hey," she replied and looked at him.
He lightly kissed her.
"What are you doing up?" He asked.
"I couldn't sleep," Skye answered.
They stayed silent for a while.
"Are you okay?" He asked finally. "I mean, we just went through a torture chamber. That messes with someone."
Skye sighed and leaned her head back against him. "I don't know."
Ward wrapped both his arms around her. "I'm here if you need me. We went through this together. We can talk about it."
Skye pulled away from him and turned the other way. "I just can't sleep okay? You don't have to get all paranoid about it."
"I was just trying to help-"
"Well I don't need it." Skye interrupted harshly.
Ward looked at her, taken back. "Okay." He slowly crept away and went back to their bedroom.

Two hours later Skye leaped up in bed screaming. The covers flew off of her as she jumped upwards.
"Skye?!" Ward asked, as he jumped up, alarmed.
She looked around and started panting and breathing heavily. Ward grabbed her and turned her towards him. "Hey, hey. Are you okay? What's wrong?"
"What- it it," Skye stuttered. "It was so cold."
She shook uncontrollably.
"Hey," Ward comforted and wrapped his arms around her. "You just had a bad dream."
"But it was real," Skye corrected.
Ward gently leaned her back down in bed. "It was just a flash back okay? You're alright."
He laid down beside her and kept his arms around her. He slowly heated her up with his powers.
"It was so cold," Skye said.
"Shhh," Ward soothed. "I'm here now, you're okay."

Skye woke up the next morning to warmth around her. She had curled up against Ward because she had felt so scared and cold. She slowly looked up to see Ward looking down at her.
"Hey sleepy head," Ward greeted and grinned down at Skye. "Sleep well?"
Skye sighed, ignoring Ward's sarcasm, and slowly sat up so her head was laying on his arm.
"I'm sorry," she apologized and looked up at him. "I shouldn't have blown you off last night. I knew I needed to talk about it but I didn't want to. Thanks for still comforting me."
"Of course," Ward replied. "And I forgive you. Trust me I've blown people off too. But word of advice, don't blow your husband off just to wake him up two hours later without some kind of affection."
Skye smiled. "Oh I'm sorry I must have forgotten."
Ward leaned in to kiss her but instead Skye pinched his waist. He leaped back, surprised.
"Oh I'm gonna get you for that!" He yelled playfully and reached for her. She jumped out of bed and ran around their room, laughing her head off. He chased her and eventually grabbed her by the waist. She screamed playfully as he tickled her and showered her with kisses.
"YOU GUYS!" Coulson yelled and pounded on the door.
Skye and Ward stopped messing around and looked at the door flatly, clearly annoyed.
"What?!"
"Stop messing around and get out here!"
Skye and Ward sighed. Skye slowly got off Ward's lap as he let her go. They both walked to the door and opened it.
"What?"
Coulson looked them up and down. They were still in their pajamas and looked exhausted.
"Were you guys up late last night or something?" He asked.
"Um-" Skye stuttered for an excuse.
Ward put his hands on her shoulders "It's a long story."
Coulson sighed. "Just go get ready to go on a mission."
They nodded and went back in their room.

"Okay," Coulson announced as they sat in the plane. "We are flying to Hawaii to track down a Hydra team. They have spilt up and are spread out in this area on this island."
He showed them a map on his tablet. Skye, Ward, May, Bobbi, Hunter, and Mack all nodded.
"But we are splitting up so I think Skye and Ward should go one way and the rest of you can figure it out," Coulson ordered.
Everyone nodded and May rolled her eyes.

Two hours later, they reached Hawaii and everyone jumped out. Skye and Ward rented a car and started tracking one of the agents. They ended up at an outside party at a hotel.
"Okay," Skye said as they walked through the party. "He's somewhere in this crowd. He looks like this."
Skye quickly showed Ward a picture of him on a tablet. "We need to knock him out without anyone realizing. We can't attract anyone."
Ward nodded and took a sip of his lemonade.
"Hey!" Someone called.
Skye and Ward both turned to see a lady at a booth. They walked over to her, hand in hand.
"You two look like an adorable couple!" The lady went on. "Let me guess, newly weds?"
Ward faked a laugh but only Skye noticed. "How did you know?!" He exclaimed.
"Oh I was right!" The lady went on. "Well my name is Sharon and I'm offering the greatest deal you can get!"
"Oh really?!" Ward asked, pretending to act interested.
"Yup!" Sharon went on, totally buying it.
Skye almost laughed at Ward's sarcasm.
"You guys will probably want another vacation soon here right?" Sharon asked, not waiting for them to answer. "Well I have a deal that will blow your minds! For only a few hundred dollars a month, you can come stay at a sweet that overlooks a beautiful view anytime you want!"
"And why would we want to take a vacation when we love it at home?" Skye asked.
"Well," Sharon laughed. "You guys are newly weds! Are you guys expecting a baby anytime soon?"
Ward choked on his drink at Sharon's mention of a baby. Skye started laughing awkwardly.
"Oh no," she said. "Not in our line of work."
"Oh who do you work for?" Sharon asked innocently.
Skye and Ward exchanged nervous glances. "Umm," Ward said. "We're realtors!"
"Hey look at that!" Skye exclaimed and pointed to something random.
She pulled Ward's arm and they walked away quickly.
"Hey wait-"
"It was nice talking to you!" Skye yelled and kept walking.
They ran around the corner of the building and turned on their comps.
"Coulson?!" Skye called. "We can't find him anywhere!"
"BECAUSE HIS WHOLE TEAM IS WITH US!" Coulson yelled.
Skye heard gunshots in the background.
"We'll be right over!" She yelled.

Skye and Ward rushed into the hotel building to see Coulson and the team fighting against a Hydra team. Skye immediately shot some Hydra agents back with her seismic waves and Skye and Ward took out the rest of the agents with Coulson and helped the team recover.
"Good job guys," Coulson told everyone.
They all had cuts and bruises but nothing too serious.
"Let's go home," Coulson ordered.
Everyone got in the plane and flew back to the base.

Skye sat in the kitchen in the base. She was in a chair on her laptop at the kitchen table. Ward came over and sat down across from her.
"Hey," he greeted.
"Hey."
"That Sharon lady was really annoying," Ward said.
Skye nodded. "But she was right about something."
Ward looked at her.
Skye sighed and slammed her laptop closed. "Are we ever gonna have kids?! I mean we can't in our line of work! And where are we gonna raise them, in this base?! I mean the heater doesn't even work in here!"
Skye shivered and sighed. Ward got up and walked over to Skye. He went behind her and wrapped his arms around her. He started warming her up with his powers so she wasn't cold anymore.
"Don't worry," Ward said and comforted Skye. "We're gonna have kids. I want to raise a family too. But not right now. We've got to help Coulson defeat Hydra and then we can go buy our own house and just be normal."
"But that's just it," Skye replied. "We are never gonna be normal. We have powers remember? I mean what will our kids even be like?"
Ward sat in a chair next to her. "They'll be beautiful," he reassured. "Because they'll have you as their mom."
Skye smiled at Ward's comment. He smiled back and leaned in and kissed her. Coulson watched them as they kissed. He was behind a wall ease dropping. He looked at them with a worried face. They're gonna move away?!
