Kanaya's Pov
Mo pulls up at my house and I get my food and stuff and get out the car. Dustin looks at me and says. " Kay Kay?" I ignore him and walk inside and my mom says. "Kay dinners almost ready." I look at her. "I already got some food." I walk upstairs in my room and I close and lock the door behind me. I sit on my bed and start eating my food. Someone knocks on my room door and I get up and open the door. I see Dustin standing on the other side of the door and I look at Dustin. He walks in the room and sits on my bed. I look at him and roll my eyes. He says. "Kay Kay we need to talk." I look at him. "What we need to talk about?" My phone starts ringing and I grab it off my nightstand and see it's Kyle calling me. I hit decline quickly and send him a quick text.
Me: I can't really talk rn but I'll call you back later
Dustin looks at me. "Who is that?" I say. "None of your business." He looks at me for a minute. "Kay fr I'm tryna tell yo ass something." I catch an attitude and say. "Ight nigga tf you want." I sit on my bed and look at him. He sighs and says. "He not your real dad Kay Kay." I look at him without saying anything. I get up and grab my keys and walk out the room. I hear my mom saying something but I just brush it off and keep walking. I hear Dustin yelling my name. "Kay Kay." I storm outside and get in my car. I drive off and get my phone and call Mo but she doesn't answer. Dustin starts blowing me up and I hit decline. I stop at a store and I get my phone and call Kyle.

I hang up the phone and drive to Kyle's house. I pull up in his driveway a few minutes later and get out. I lock my car doors and I walk up to the front door and knock. Someone opens the door and I look at her. "Hi,is Kyle here?" She smiles and lets me in. "You must be Kanaya I've heard a lot about you." I smile at her. "Good things I hope." Kyle comes downstairs and looks at me. "Come on." I walk over to him and we walk upstairs in his room. I look around and he says. "Make yourself at home,but tell me what's going on." I sit on his bed and look down. "I just found out that my dad isn't really my dad." He walks over to me and pulls me up and wraps his arms around me. "I'm sorry,but you know I'm here for you." I look up at him. "Yeah I know." He hugs me tightly and looks down at me. "You can stay here tonight." I shake my head. "I can't you didn't even ask your mom." He says. "Man she don't mind she think you my girlfriend." I move out of his grip and glare at him. "I wonder who told her that." His mom walks in the room and says. "Don't y'all be in here doing grown folks business." He looks at her. "Aye ma get out of here with all that,and she staying tonight." His stepdad walks in and looks at me. "You must be sleeping in the guest room or downstairs?" Kyle says. "Nah she sleeping in here with me." I shake my head. "I'll just go home." I grab my keys off his nightstand and try to walk out the room,but his mom stops me. "Nah you can stay." I walk back over to Kyle and sit on his bed. His mom and stepdad walks out the room and He looks at me. "Aye man you not going nowhere tonight,but you want something to sleep in." He gets up and walks in the closet and I get on my phone and text Mo.
Me: bih I'm mad at you 😑
Bestie Mo🙄😌❤️: Damn what I do
Me: you didn't answer the phone for me
Bestie Mo🙄😌❤️: oh girl my bad
Me: uh huh what you been doing

He walks out the closet and hands me one of his big t-shirts and I get up and take the shirt and walk in the bathroom. I close the bathroom door and change into his shirt and pin my hair up and walk out the bathroom. I look at Kyle and walk over to the bed and put my phone on the charger and get in the bed. He looks at me and says. "My shirt looks good on you." I roll my eyes and say. "You not getting it back." He says. "You can keep it." I lay down and he pulls me in his arms and says. "You know I got you k if you need anything I'm here." I look up at him and softly smile. "Yeah I know Kyle and thanks." I lay my head on his chest and I slowly drift off to sleep.
Kyle's Pov
I walk in the house and go upstairs in my room. I turn on the game and decide to play it for awhile and get my phone and call K but she doesn't answer. I put my phone down but I see she sent me a text.
My k bae😍💍: I can't really talk rn but I'll call you back later
I shake my head and start back playing the game. My mom walks in the room and sits on my bed. "How's things going with you and Kanaya?" I pause the game and look at her. "Good,but I wanna make her mine soon." She looks at me for a second. "Don't hurt her." She walks out the room and my phone starts ringing. I grab my phone and see it's k calling and I answer it.

Dean: shit coolin but what we doing tonight
Me: nah Man I can't I'm chillin' with Kanaya tonight

Kanaya walks out the bathroom and puts her phone on the charger and gets in the bed. I look at her and say. "My shirt looks good on you." She rolls her eyes and says. "You not getting it back." I say. "You can keep it." She lays down and I pull her in my arms and say. "You know I got you k if you need anything I'm here." She looks up at me and softly smiles. "Yeah I know Kyle and thanks." She lays her head on my chest and I look down at her and see she's sleeping. I kiss her on the cheek and turn on the tv and watch it for awhile. I shortly fall asleep a few hours later.
