Twelve Minutes Later...

"You guys have any plans for when we get back?" Buddy asked as the small group of dogs headed home. Pepe shook his head while Mel replied, "I got nothin on my plate today... yet." Shrugging his shoulders, Max answered truthfully, "I honestly don't know either. I think I'm just gonna spend some quality time with Gidget."

"Max and Gidget, sitting in a tree..." Mel sang.

"K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Buddy snickered. Pepe howled in harmony.

"Very funny guys. I'd like to see the day where you two fall in love!" Max murmured. He looked over at his brother Duke, surprised he hadn't joined in. The giant mutt seemed to be in very deep thought, which was unusual for him. Max just shrugged it off as they arrived at the apartment building.
