Nixie spotted Professor Dumbledore and fastened her pace. "Hello Professor Dumbledore." Nixie smiled and set her bag down against a tree.

     "Are you ready?" Professor Dumbledore asked.

     "Yep."

     "Okay, let's go over the basics. There are four elements which is earth, air, water, and fire. You obviously have earth, but you could possibly have another power."

     "Wow." Nixie said.

     "First, I'm going to teach you how to control the power you have right now. So, here is an apple seed. I want you to try and make it grow into an apple." Dumbledore placed the seed into her hand.

     Nixie closed her hands and closed her eyes. She didn't really know what she was doing yet, but she felt something heavy in her hand. She opened her eyes to see a red apple in her hand.

     "I did it." Nixie whispered and touched the apple to see if it was real.

     "You did, now I would like you to try and control that vine." Dumbledore pointed to a vine and took the apple from Nixie.

     Nixie tried to make the vine come towards her, but it only moved about five inches. Nixie let out a sigh and sat down. "It's getting late, so you should head to bed Miss Thomas." Professor Dumbledore told Nixie.

     "Okay. Goodnight professor." Nixie picks her bag up and walked to her dorm. She put on her pajamas and crawled into her bed. She looked at the clock to see it was 10:23. Nixie closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

     Nixie woke up and quickly got dressed. She wanted to tell Paige and Cedric about her power so bad, but she couldn't. Not yet.

     "Morning Paige, Cedric." Nixie said as she sat down beside them in the Great Hall. "Morning." They both replied.

     "Nix, I need to talk to you." Paige said.

     "Okay, hold on." Nixie reached over and grabbed a blueberry muffin.

     Nixie followed Paige outside of the Great Hall.

     "What did you need to talk about?" Nixie asked biting into her muffin.

     "IthinkIlikeCedric!" Paige said it so fast Nixie couldn't understand.

     "Say it slower." Nixie told Paige.

     "I think I like Cedric." Paige told Nixie slower this time.

     "I knew it! This is amazing! You two will make the cutest couple!" Nixie squealed jumping up and down.

     "Thanks, but I don't think he feels the same way Nix." Paige frowned.

     "He totally likes you!" Nixie reassured her friend.

     "You really think so?"

     "I know so. Now c'mon, let's go back before he gets worried." Nixie said and dragged Paige back into the Great Hall.

     It was Nixie's free period, so she went outside to a tree. She thought about her power and she decided to test it out.

     Fred Weasley was walking with his twin brother, George, outside by the Black Lake. Fred spotted a girl by herself.

     "George, what is she doing?" Fred asked.

     George looked over to the girl an saw that she was making a patch of flowers grow. "I don't know Fred." George replied staring at the girl.

     Fred looked at the girl one last time an walked back inside. I'm going to figure out her secret, he thought to himself.

     Nixie played with the flowers, making their petals move around. She looked at her little watch in her bag and saw that it was time for lunch.

     She walked into the Great Hall and saw the Weasley twins staring at her. Nixie walked faster to her table. She didn't like attention and she felt really awkward when people stared at her.

     "Hey Nix!" Paige exclaimed smiling.

     Nixie looked over to Cedric, who was sitting beside Paige. "Are you two...dating?"

     "Yeah! Isn't it great?!" Cedric held up his right hand that was intertwined with Paige's left hand. "I'm so happy for you two!" Nixie squealed.

     "Now you just need a boyfriend." Paige smirked, wiggling her eyebrows.

     "Nope. I'm perfectly fine without a boyfriend." Nixie said and put chicken on her plate.

     "Well, you must have a crush." Paige said.

     "No, I don't have a crush on anyone." Nixie reassured Paige.

     "Well, I think someone has a crush on you." Paige smirked.

     "Who?" Nixie asked.

     "Fred Weasley of course!" Paige said.

     "He does not have a crush on me." Nixie said as her face heated up. Fred Weasley is too good looking to have a crush on me, Nixie thought to herself. Nixie knew almost every girl had a crush on the Weasley twins.

     "Okay, whatever you say, but Cedric and I have to head to class. See you later Nix!" Paige dragged Cedric to class, leaving Nixie alone.

     Nixie read a book as she ate. She was on the last page, when she felt someone sit down beside her. Nixie looked up to see one of the Weasley twins. Nixie couldn't tell if it was Fred or George.

     "Hey, I'm Fred Weasley." Fred held out his hand.

     "I'm Nixie Thomas." Nixie smiled and shook the boy's hand.

    "So, do you like pranks?" Fred asked Nixie.

     "Um...I've never really done one before." Nixie admitted shyly.

     "What?! Then come with me!" Fred exclaimed and grabbed Nixie's hand, dragging her out of the Great Hall.

     "Where are we going?!" Nixie asked.

     "I'm going to show you how to prank."

     Nixie stopped walking and yanked her hand away.

     "Why'd you stop?" Fred asked.

     "One, I don't want to prank people, and two, I don't even know you!" Nixie exclaimed and turned around.

     "Well, can we hang out sometime?" Fred walked in front of her.

     "Why do you want to hang out with me all of a sudden?" Nixie crossed her arms over her chest.

     "You look like you're an interesting person." Fred admitted.

     "Fine, we can hang out." Nixie gave in.

     "Awesome, do you want to come with me and my brother to Hogsmeade this weekend?"

     "Sure."

     "Great, okay. See you later Nixie." Fred waved and ran back to the Great Hall.
