It's Halloween and Nixie is currently writing a letter, asking her dad if she can stay at the Burrow for Christmas.

Dear Dad,
     I'm writing this letter to ask for your permission to go stay with my friend at their house for Christmas. It's perfectly fine if you don't want me too.
     Anyways, how have you been? I really miss you. Oh, and Happy Halloween! I hope everything is going good and you have a great day! I really miss you dad. I love you with all my heart.

     "Take this to dad Squirt." Nixie tied her letter to her little owl, Squirt. He was a really happy owl, so Nixie named him Squirt.

     Nixie walked down to the Great Hall for the big feast for Halloween. Nixie sat down at the Hufflepuff table and turned around to wave at Fred and George. Nixie had become best friends with Fred ad George, but she was closer to Fred.

     "Nixie, can you two get together already?" Paige asked Nixie while they ate.

     Nixie was drinking her pumpkin juice and spit it out. Nixie started choking. She finally stopped and was able to catch her breath. "We are just friends." Nixie told Paige.

     "Sure." Paige said sarcastically.

     "You would be a cute couple." Cedric admitted.

     "Guys, I don't like him like that!" Nixie huffed.

     "Okay, let's just eat." Paige said and they started eating again.

     The next morning in the Great Hall, Squirt dropped a letter off for Nixie at breakfast. Nixie opened it up.

Dear Nixie,
     Who asked you stay with them for Christmas? I'm doing fine and I had a good Halloween. How was yours? I hope you're doing good. I miss you too Nixie. I love you with all my heart.

                  Dad

     Nixie grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill an  some ink out of her bag and started to write a letter back.

Dear Dad,
     Fred Weasley asked me to stay with him for Christmas. He's a really great friend dad. That's great that you had a good Halloween. I had a good one too. I'm also doing great. Paige and Cedric finally got together. I miss you too dad. I love you!

     Nixie closed the letter and tied it around Squirt's leg. Nixie then began to eat and then she headed off to Potions. Potions ended and she went to Defence Against the Dark Arts.

    "Hey Fred!" Nixie hugged Fred and sat down beside him.

    "Hey Nix. Did your dad say you could stay yet?"

    "No, not yet." Nixie smiled.

    "Oh, my mum said it would be fine." Fred said.

    "Great!" Nixie smiled and started writhing down notes.

    Nixie was writing notes when she felt a piece of parchment hit her in the head. She turned around to see a ball of parchment on the floor. She picked it up and read it.

Meet me outside by the Black Lake during lunch. -Ben xxx

     Nixie turned around and saw a Slytherin winking at her. Nixie turned around and rolled her eyes. She balled the note up and threw it on the floor. Fred saw it and picked it up.

     He read it and glared at the boy. "Are you going?" Fred asked Nixie.

     "What are you talking about? Oh." Nixie said.

     "Are you?"

     "No." Nixie replied.

     "Good." Fred said quietly to himself and wrote a few notes here and there for the remainder of class.

     "I'm going to see if my dad wrote back, do you want to come?" Nixie asked Fred during their free period.

     "Sure, come on!" Fred smile and grabbed Nixie's hand, which caused her to blush a bit.

     They walked to the owlery and Nixie walked over to Squirt. She got the letter and read it.

Dear Nixie,
     Of course you can go! The Weasley family is a great family! I know Molly and Arthur. No funny business with any of the boys, at all! I already wrote to Molly, asking her to watch you.
     I hope you have a great time! I'll send you your gift Christmas morning. I love you so so much Nixie! I miss you.

         Dad

     "He said I can come!" Nixie squealed and jumped onto Fred.

     Fred caught her and spun her around. "That's amazing Nixie!" Fred squeezed her.

     Nixie blushed and smiled at Fred. "Let's go tell George, Ron, and Ginny." Nixie said and dragged Fred to the Great Hall.

     "Hey guys! Nixie is going to be staying with us for Christmas Break!" Fred said to his siblings.

     "That's amazing! Now I'll have another girl to talk to!" Ginny squealed and hugged Nixie.

     "Yay!" Ron and George exclaimed and hugged her.

     "It's going to be so much fun!" Nixie said happily.

     Nixie walked outside to the Black Lake for her lessons with Dumbledore. She saw him and walked over to him.

     "Hello Professor!" Nixie waved.

     "Hello Nixie." Professor Dumbledore said.

     "What are we going to do today?"

     "I'm going to see if you can control any other element."

     "Oh okay."

     "First we are going to try water." Professor Dumbledore said, making a goblet appear. "I want you to try and make some water float out of this goblet." Dumbledore said as he filled the goblet with water.

     Nixie focused on the water and made it float out of the goblet, towards her. She smiled and made the water go back.

     "Great, now we try fire."

     "So I have the power to control the earth and water elements?" Nixie asked still shocked.

     "Yes, now let's try fire." Dumbledore said. "I want you to try and make a fire without anything."

     Nixie tried and tried, but nothing happened.

    "So, you can't control the fire element, so let's try air. I want you to create a breeze."

     Nixie tried, but failed once again. "I guess I only have earth and water." Nixie said.

    "Yes, but they are still very powerful elements Nixie. You need to learn how to control them or else, someone might use you for your gift." Professor Dumbledore told Nixie.

     "Okay, goodnight Professor."

     "Goodnight."
