Chapter Five

This is unedited, so PLEASE tell me if you find any mistakes.

Ty's POV

"Okay Seto, I think we have enough recruits." I chuckled as the last recruit walked out of the Base.

Seto blushed. He had managed to gather 29 recruits for the search party. "R-right."

I raised an eyebrow at his actions, but shook it off. "What are you waiting for? Let's go!" I said enthusiastically. I gestured for one of the guards to close the gates. We walked towards the forest surrounding the Base.

Seto hesitated. "Um, General Deadlox. Shouldn't we split up? We could cover more of the forest that way."

I facepalmed. Why didn't I think of that? "Alright, take 14 recruits with you and search the jungle. I'll go by myself into the tundra and taiga."

One of the recruits protested at this, and I glared at them. "I can take care of myself. The rest of you will go in the forest. I expect to see you all at the base by dusk. Am I clear?"

Everyone nodded. "Good. Remember, you are looking for a girl traveling with a black cat and a wolf. Do not use force on her, but tell her that she is requested at the Sky Army Base. I will see you all tonight."

Seto immediately took off with his group, and the remaining recruits jogged towards the forest. I myself ran to the taiga forest that was located a few minutes away.

Animals watched me curiously as I sprinted past. The air around me grew colder as more spruce trees appeared. I stopped when I was well into the snowy forest. I glanced around, looking for a tall tree. I spotted one, and I ran towards it.

The spruce tree was about 21 feet tall. I scaled the spruce tree, avoiding the branches that attempted to snag on my clothes. I reached the top of the tree without messing up my attire too much.

I figured I was far enough from the Base and the other search parties. No recruits should be anywhere near where I was. I removed my headphones and purple bracelets and put the bracelets in a hidden pocket for safekeeping.

Purple particles surrounded my upper and lower back as soon as I let go of the bracelets. The particles lingered for a moment, then faded away to reveal wings and a tail.

I unfurled my wings as my tail twitched from the exposure to the air. It had been so long since I had last taken off my Object. I was excited to be able to fly once again.

I glanced at my headphones. They would be useless during my flight, so I decided to desummon them. The headphones glowed a dark purple before disappearing. Ready to take off, I stretched out my wings and jumped into the air.

Snow began to fall as I soared over the forest. I would have to hurry if I didn't want to freeze. Even though I wasn't cold-blooded as most Minecraftians thought, I was still sensitive to the cold. That's a downside to being a pure-blooded dragon.

A familiar howl suddenly echoed from somewhere in the forest below. I hovered in the air, trying to determine where exactly the howl came from. I spotted three figures off to my right. My eyesight sharpened, and I immediately dove down when I realized that the girl was laying down in the snow, not moving.

Selene's eyes were fluttering as I landed on the ground. Hecate and Luna were panicking at Selene's state. I rushed to her and picked her up just as she fell unconscious. Even with her cloak, sweater, and fluffy tail, Selene was cool to the touch.

I looked at Luna and Hecate, who had calmed down as soon as I arrived. "I assume you both are going to follow me back to Selene's house?" The two familiars nodded. At this action, I spread out my wings once again and flew back to the large tree I had climbed earlier.

"You have a lot to explain Selene, don't you?"

Selene's POV (oh look, a POV change)

I groaned. Why was I so tired? The last thing I remember was falling into the snow.

My eyes flew open and I shot up from the bed I was laying in. I was in my bedroom. How did I get here?

"Well, look who finally woke up."

I looked at the door. Ty was leaning against the doorframe, watching me closely.

Was he the one who picked me up earlier? "Did you bring me here?"

He chuckled. "Yes."

I narrowed my eyes in annoyance. "How did you find me?"

"Luna's howl is pretty loud," he said.

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked suspiciously.

Ty rolled his eyes. "Only a minute. I've been in the kitchen. I just came over here to check on you when you woke up."

Satisfied with his answer, I yawned. "How long was I out for?" I asked.

"A good few hours. It's midnight right now."

I glanced around my room. "And where are Luna and Hecate?"

Ty laughed. "Why so many questions? They're inside the house."

I pouted, trying to stifle my giggling. "Am I not allowed to be informed?"

Ty grinned. "Well, I do outrank you..."

"Ty! That has nothing to do with this!" I laughed.

He smirked. "And?"

I groaned and fell back on the bed. "Ugh, you're no fun. I can't argue with you anymore!"

He laughed. "Then I guess you can't stop me from checking on you."

I stared at Ty. "What exactly is that supposed to mean?" I asked him with suspicion in my voice.

Ty looked confused for a moment. "I'm going to see how you- oh!" He exclaimed when realization hit him. Panic appeared on his face. "I'm not going to do anything to you! You were really cold out there in the snow and I need to make sure you're oka-"

I giggled, interrupting his ramble. "Ty, I was just kidding. I know you well enough to know that you won't try anything."

Ty relaxed at my words. "Then why-"

"-did I ask that?" I finished for him. "It's cute when you panic. I can see why so many girls want to be your girlfriend."

Ty rolled his eyes. "Is that it?" he asked.

I hid a smile. "You're my friend and I like to tease you?" I said, acting like it was a question.

Ty groaned. "Of course." A thought seemed to occur to him. "You know I still have to see how you are doing, right?" He walked towards me as I sat up in the bed.

I finally noticed the lack of bracelets on his wrists. His wings and tail were dragging on the floor. "You finally took off your Objects?" I asked. The last time I could remember him in his hybrid form was years ago.

"Huh?" He looked behind himself and spotted his tail. "Oh, yeah. I was flying when I found you, and I guess I forgot to put them back on." He pulled out his bracelets from a pocket hidden on his shirt.

"Aw, don't put them back on. They haven't been free for a while, and I like this form better than your human form," I said.

Ty smirked as he put his Objects back in his pocket. "Do you just like how our eyes match in my hybrid form?" he asked. "Or do you think that my human form is unattractive?"

"Both," I answered with an innocent look on my face.

Ty pretended to look hurt, and put a hand over his heart. "Ouch."

I grinned. "Aw, did my little Enderlox's feeling get hurt?" I teased.

He shook his head. "We're getting distracted. How do you feel?" he asked, putting his hand on my forehead.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not tired if that's what you want to know Mom."

Ty chuckled. "No stomach aches or headaches?" he teased.

"Nope. Are we done? I want to go get some food." I asked impatiently. I didn't particularly like being the center of attention, especially when I was injured.

Ty sighed. "Yes. Your body temperature is back to normal. Why were you out in the snow anyways?"

I deliberately didn't answer him. I swung my legs over the side of my bed and stood up. I immediately fell on the floor. Ty grabbed my hands and pulled me up. "Careful, your legs may be a little unsteady," he warned.

"Gee, thanks Ty," I said sarcastically. "You know, that would have been nice to know before I tried to get up."

Ty blushed. "Sorry. It completely slipped my mind," he confessed.

He helped me regain my balance, then let go of me. I walked out of my bedroom, then stopped and turned to see that Ty hadn't moved. "Are you going to stay there all day or come get some hot cocoa?" I asked.

His eyes widened. "You have some?" he asked. I nodded, and he ran out of the room. I giggled when I saw him sitting at the kitchen counter. I walked over to one of my chests and grabbed some cocoa beans, milk, sugar, and a bowl.

Ty was displeased when he saw the ingredients in my arms. "You meant the ingredients, didn't you?" he asked. He sighed when I nodded, and put his head on the counter.

I mixed the cocoa beans, milk, and sugar in the bowl, and put the mixture in the furnace nearby to let it warm up. I turned around to see Ty watching me again. "Do you have a thing for staring at people that I don't know about?" I asked.

He ignored my question. "You never answered me earlier. Why were you in the snow?" he asked.

I sat down in a chair, thinking of my answer. "I was thinking about the prophecies I wrote," I said slowly.

Ty looked at me sympathetically. "You shouldn't worry about those Selene," he said. "You said they're in a safe place, right?" I nodded. "Then there's nothing to be concerned about. No one should be able to read them and no one should know you wrote them. Heck, nobody except the Council should even know they exist!"

I smiled. "Thanks, that helped a lot." I sighed, remembering the Base. "I just wish I could go and visit Sky." I stood up and walked over to the furnace where the cocoa was sitting. I grabbed the bowl and started pouring the cocoa into two cups.

"Who said you couldn't go?"

I froze, placing the bowl on the counter. I stared at Ty, who was smiling. "But the cont-"

"Forget the contest." Ty interrupted. "It's almost over anyways, what's the harm in going?"

I frowned. "Seto thinks that Jason somehow wormed his way into the Base."

Ty looked thoughtful. "He thinks that you'll put Sky at a disadvantage?" he asked. When I nodded, he laughed. "I think he's forgotten that Sky can take care of himself. He's almost been caught several times and he's always managed to escape each time. What makes this any different?"

My eyes lit up. "So, I can go back with you?" I asked hopefully.

Ty nodded, and I squealed with happiness. He laughed at my delight. "That's actually why I was out flying in the first place. Seto somehow set up a search party for you. The recruits were going to try and find you after the little stunt you and Seto pulled off."

My ears flattened at his statement. The movement caught his attention, and he seemed to remember something. Purple particles appeared in the air, and my headphones fell from the magic. My eyes widened when I realized I had forgotten them at the clearing.

Ty laughed at my expression. "Yeah, I meant to give these back earlier," he said as he handed me back my Object. "Anyways, I'm actually glad you and Seto 'fought' in that clearing. It gives us a chance to show that Enders are good. It also gave the recruits more experience with how to deal with situations like that in the future," he admitted.

I fiddled with my headphones. "So you were part of the search party?" I asked.

Ty nodded. "I went by myself. I honestly didn't expect to find you at all. I just really wanted to fly for a bit," he said.

A thought occurred to me. I glanced around the kitchen. "Hey, where are Luna and Hecate? You said they were out here," I said.

Ty frowned. "I don't know. They were here earlier," he said, standing up.

We both started to look around my house for the two familiars. I stopped at the guest room door when I heard movement from inside. I waved my hand, getting Ty's attention. He came over to where I was standing.

I put my hand on the doorknob, getting ready to open the door. 'On three,' I mouthed. Ty counted down, and I turned the doorknob. I pushed the door open and saw green eyes staring at me from the guest bed.

I laughed. "Found them," I said. Hecate had somehow pinned Luna down on the bed. Luna looked at me helplessly, eyes begging for help. I giggled. "Luna, you should know by now puppy eyes don't work on me," I said.

~I at least tried.~

Ty walked into the room, this time with his bracelets and headphones on. His wings and tail had disappeared. "I think we should get back to the Base. We've got quite a walk ahead of us," he said.

*The Base?*

~Do you mean the Sky Army Base?~

Ty grinned. "Yup. I was supposed to be back by dusk, and I figured you guys could come along with me."

Luna wagged her tail, and Hecate purred her delight. They both had been wanting to go back for a while now too.

I moved to the door. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" I said eagerly. Ty laughed while Luna and Hecate ran towards the exit. We walked out the door, hot cocoa left forgotten on the counter.

A/N

Ay, guess who's back! I hope you enjoyed this chapter as much as I did. This was actually two chapters combined, it was originally just supposed to be Ty's POV this chapter. YOLO. Anyways, I think I might be able to do weekly uploads now. I'm excited for that, especially since I have a surprise at the end of the book. I want to tell you all soooo much, but I can't 'cause spoilers.

In case you didn't read the update chapter, I do plan on adding Alesa, Mason, Captain Sparklez, AntVenom, Bodil40, GoldSolace, Aphmau, House_Owner, Mithzan, ThatGuyBarney, and JinBop. I have some ideas for Slamacow, RedVacktor, MunchingBrotato, SubZeroExtabyte, Gizzy Gazza, and even Markiplier. Although, I don't think you'll like what I have planned...

And yes, I know that Markiplier doesn't really play Minecraft anymore. He just seemed like a fun character to introduce. If you have any YouTubers I could also add, PLEASE comment them. I need a lot more than you might think.

Oh, ships! I don't plan on adding SkyMU (sorry), but I might have some Skylox, Setolox, and Sketo. I am definitely doing SetoSolace at some point. What? It's my OTP!

And before I forget, Ty is a pure-blooded dragon, as he said in the chapter. This means he has a human, hybrid, and a dragon form. He is not a hybrid, even though the similarities are there.

And Objects! Objects are enchanted items given to dragons and Ender hybrids. When worn, they cause the wearer to morph into their human form. It's the only way a hybrid or dragon can appear as a human unless they have a lot of magic and/or power. They start to work on the wearer when they are worn, but do not stop working until they are no longer touching the wearer.

Example: Selene puts on headphones, she is now in her human form. Selene takes them off but does not let them go, she is still in her human form. Selene lets go of the Object, she is no longer in her human form. Selene picks up the Object, she is still in her hybrid form. -process repeats-

That's it for this week! Keep an eye out for Chapter 6 next week! I'll be updated as much as I can over the summer, which means I might upload more than weekly. And thank you ALL for reading this story. I never expected it to get so much attention. <3

Go check out my art book! It has one drawing (I usually suck at drawing), but it has a map of the Sky Army Base, which might be useful later on. I actually made a the Sky Army Base in Minecraft, and I'll be posting screenshots as the book continues.

So I was just looking at the demographics and I noticed that people from the Netherlands, Canada, and the Philippines have read this. Wut.
