Suspicion
Emma was beginning to notice that something was a little off with Robbie. She couldn't put her finger on it. She wasn't even sure when it started, but it was definitely after their engagement.
Emma was watching her fiance sleeping next to her in their large bed. He looked exhausted, snoring slightly. Their lovemaking was growing less frequent. He didn't seem to want it as much as he used to. Even though it was great, his heart wasn't in it. Tonight it was as if he were just phoning it in.
Robbie had been working hard lately at the family corporation, she reasoned. Maybe he was just distracted. Or maybe that old man was riding him to the limit. Whatever it was, she would just have to wait until she got her old Robbie back in time for the wedding.
The next day Robbie was at his desk going over some paperwork for a meeting later on. He tried to concentrate but his mind kept wandering. Specifically it wandered to Harry. Robbie couldn't believe that Harry had the audacity to admit that he was sleeping with Kendall and him. Although what he and Harry did didn't officially count as sex. But still it was sexual activity, and Harry was having it with both Robbie and Kendall.
Robbie thought about their fighting right before Emma broke it up. He was so sure Harry would rat him out but surprisingly he didn't. What if he planned to? What if he wanted to blackmail Robbie? Oh hell no! Robbie was going to make damn sure that won't happen. Maybe it was better to cut off ties with Harry? Robbie was stupid for letting it go this far. He was throwing away his future with Emma and for what? Some sex with another guy? Was he curious? Horny? What? He had his Emma, she was all he needed.
On inpulse he picked up his phone and made a call.
"Robbie!" Emma said. "What a treat. You don't usually call during the day."
"Yeah, well I was thinking of changing that, love" he said. "I've been thinking about you."
"Aww that's so sweet."
"I really enjoyed our time together last night." Robbie thought about their night together. Emma had been wonderful. He was able to perform thank God, but he couldn't get into it somehow. He had basically went through the motions. He didn't understand it. Maybe he had been tired or something.
Then he thought about how he and Harry were in the bushes together, making out like a couple of horny teenagers. Immediately he could feel his throat tighten. A sudden wave of strong tingles went through him. He squirmed in his chair and straightened his pants. What was that, he wondered, and where was that last night when he and Emma were in bed.
"Robbie?" Emma was saying.
"Oh, hey," Robbie felt a little guilty about what he was thinking. "Sorry I got distracted."
"No kidding. Story of your life." She teased. "Want me to meet you for lunch?"
"I wish I could but I have this meeting."
"Oh, okay. I guess I'll see you at home then." Emma said.
"See you later babe. Love you."
Emma was touched. He hadn't said that in a while. "Love you too baby."
She hung up, wondering at this sudden change in her man. Maybe she should check up on him.
After Robbie hung up he stared at his phone. Specifically Harry's number. He thought about Harry accusing him of being jealous. That son of a bitch had his nerve.
He tried to return to his work. He kept looking back at his phone. No, he was not going to call Harry. He did not want to give Harry the satisfaction. But maybe he should just to give him a piece of his mind.
Harry was lying in his large bed at home, alone. He was tired. Luckily he didn't have to go in to work until later in the afternoon.

His thoughts turned to Robbie. Wouldn't Robbie be surprised that Harry went to bed alone. He recalled Robbie's reaction when he saw them together. Robbie was so jealous, his face was practically red with fury. It was almost funny.
Harry's phone rang. He leaned out of the bed to answer it. Robbie's voice blasted right in his ear.
"Where do you get off calling me jealous?" Robbie raged. Harry had to hold his phone away from his ear. "Who the fuck do you think you are? I am not jealous! For your information I am engaged to a lovely lady. You are with that. . .Kylie girl. Have fun with her last night? Bet you did. I bet she could handle that big dick of yours."
"It's Kendall, your lady's friend." Harry calmly replied.
"Whatever! We are happy with our women." Robbie said firmly.
"And yet you let me suck your cock."
Robbie could practically hear Harry smirking. "Shut up. I should have never let you do that. Only Emma can do that and she's the best."
"Said the guy who keeps coming back for more," Harry said, rolling his eyes. "Key word:. Coming."
Robbie gritted his teeth. "That's because you put some kind of curse on me."
This was new. "What?" Harry said in disbelief.
"You heard me," Robbie hissed into his cell. "You enticed me into doing stuff with you. You lured me into wanting to sleep with you."
Harry took a deep breath. Of all his guys Robbie really took the cake. "Robbie," he spoke slowly. "Do you hear yourself talking right now? You sound like a fucking crazy person."
"Don't you fucking curse at me." Robbie said indignantly. "You tempted me and you know it."
"How the hell did I tempt you? You were the one stalking my night club almost every damn night." Harry was doing his best not to lose his cool.
"You approached me and lured me into your den of sin."
"I did you a favor. You'd still be sitting outside across the street if I hadn't done that. I thought you wanted it."
"Where did you get the idea that I wanted to suck--"
"Robbie?"
Robbie was startled by the voice at the door. He looked up and saw Emma in the doorway giving him a confused look.
"Hey!" Harry was saying over the phone.
"What's going on?" Emma came into his office.
Without thinking Robbie hung up the phone and tossed it into his drawer. He stood up quickly and embraced his fiancee. "Hi, baby, what are you doing here?"
"I thought I'd surprise you," Emma was looking at the drawer where his phone was. "Who was that?"
"What?"
Emma wasn't giving up. "Who were you talking to on the phone? It sounded intense."
"Oh, that," Robbie gave a nervous laugh. "Just another unsatisfied customer giving me crap as usual."
"Why were they on your own phone instead of the company phone?" Emma looked him straight in the eye. "You usually don't give your personal number to clients."
Crap! Emma must suspect something. She was getting too inquisitive. Quickly he tried to come up with a lie. "This was a special case. I promised him I would give it my. . . personal attention."
Emma still looked skeptical. "H'mm."
"Hey," Robbie tried to change the subject. "How about we go grab some lunch before my meeting? I still have time."
Emma gave in. "Okay."
"Could you excuse me for a moment?" Robbie said. "I have to make a quick call to somebody, it's very important, won't take long. Then I'm all yours."
Emma watched him for a moment. "Sure. I'll go say hello to your grandfather. Don't take too long, sweetie." They kissed before she left the office.
Robbie rushed behind his desk and retrieved his phone. He quickly redialed Harry's number. He felt a little bad about fussing at him like a shrew.
Harry was pissed when Robbie hung up on him. What the hell was that all about? It wasn't bad enough that Robbie called in the first place accusing him of putting a curse on him? Really? Just his luck to pick a crazy one.
His phone rang again. Thinking it was work Harry picked up without checking the ID.
"Um, hey," Speak of the devil, it was Robbie. "Sorry for hanging up like that."
"That's all you have to be sorry about?" Harry was still pissed. "You just accused me of seducing and practically raping you. I don't go anywhere I'm not invited. If you didn't want me, nothing would have happened. That's not how I roll."
Robbie felt guilty, for Emma and Harry and the way he was treating them. "Okay, sorry for all of that."
"And not that it's your business," Harry continued. "But me and Kendall used to be a thing but now we're just good friends. I was only kidding about the banging part. Also, for your information yes, she could handle it, and very well. I slept alone last night."
More guilt. "I'm really sorry," Robbie said. "I didn't mean to offend you. I don't know why I said those things."
"I do. You were jealous."
"Okay, maybe I was, a little." Robbie admitted. "I guess I kinda, sorta. . .like you a little."
Harry was surprised at the admission. "Really?" He felt himself warming up to Robbie.
"Yeah," Robbie was surprised at himself for being honest with this. "I guess I do. And I did want to do that with you."
Harry was a little touched. "I guess I kinda sorta like you too, Robbie."
"Aww.". Robbie was shuffling his feet and grinning. "I have to go."
"Okay, but we will talk about this. Us."
"Okay. Bye, Harry."
"Bye, Robbie."
Both men smiled as they hung up.
