Running
Why do I do this every day? Argh! Why? Better yet why do I have to do this in the winter? Can't I have a normal life. These are what I think to myself everyday on a daily basis except for when its summer, but I know the answer to that. I am not normal. I look different then everyone else, and that's a frown upon in this world that we live in. It's a cruel and harsh world where nothing is fair.
"Mommy, why is that lady's eye weird?" Asked a little boy tugging fiercely at his mom's black coat sleeve. I was currently waiting for the bus in freezing cold weather of late November. I was looking around at the breathtaking view of the sunrise and the frozen designs on the glass of the bus stop shelter, when this little boy asked his mom this question.
"Dillan, what did I say about staring at people it's rude", she snapped very angry at him,"I am sorry miss."
I looked at her son, smiled, set my bags down and bent down to his level and said to him,"My eyes are pretty weird, but a cool weird, huh?" He grinned back at me and nodded pulling his hat down over his ears, that where turning red from the cold breeze of the end of November weather.
"They very pretty too", he commented back, blushing slightly. Then my bus came and I waved good by to little Dillan. I sat next to an elderly woman on the bus, and she looked very sadly out the frozen bus window and kept muttering words of sorrow to herself. I looked up at her and a little gasp quickly escaped me. I was secretly hoping that she didn't hear me, but she did. She gave me a confounded look; she shook her head, then continued muttering about what sounded like she was worried on how much money she could spend on Christmas, and something about her grandkids. The reason why I gasped was that there was a spirit holding onto the elderly woman's spirit. When the elderly woman's turn to get off was arrived, I quickly moved out of the way for her and stretched out to grasp the spirit. Once I grabbed it I held onto it tightly. I am going to send it over to the other side later, when I get the time.
Once I had made it to the outskirts of the city I looked for a hotel. After a lot of walking, and I mean a lot of walking around I found one; it was a small one but a least it was one. I stepped in and asked the desk lady if they have rooms; she said they did. Once I got, paid, and grabbed my room key card I was hit by a negative wave of emotions. Then I remembered the spirit I had brought with me from the bus. I quickly found my room and set my stuff on the second bed since there were two beds. I turned to the spirit and she said,
"Why did you drag me around basically the whole day?" "Better question how can you see me?" She looked dumbfounded at me waiting expectantly for an answer. I look at her sullenly.
"Are you don-". I started to say but I was interrupted by another question.
"And how can you grab me, I'm a ghost?!?" She screamed flabbergasted.
"Do you want me to explain or not?" I asked annoyed at this spirit already.
"Yes!!"
"Then stop interrupting me." I said solemnly and firmly. She looked down out of shame and nodded.
"Ok, you see it's all in my eyes..." I started(A/N:guys this will be later on in the book too so be patient).
"Oh wow that is kind of a depressing life", she stated,"and I thought my life was tough; here I am the ghost."
"Ok two things I prefer not to call your kind ghosts, I prefer spirits; I also want to ask you a question." She looked up at me respectfully.
"What is your question?"
"I was wondering if you would mind going over to the spirit realm?" I asked very cautiously and nervously. When I usually ask this question the spirits get pissed off and turn violent, because they have something to do still on this world and therefore refuse to leave. She stared at me blankly then she grimaced.
"See that's the thing, I've been trying to find the other side, but it hasn't been working and it stressed me out in the process", she sighed, "So I attached myself to that lady well because..."
"Because she resembles you and she reminds you of yourself?" I continued.
"Well yeah, so you understand where I'm coming from?"
"No, I don't and I don't care, because even if she reminds you of yourself doesn't mean you have to do what you did to her." I stated sullenly. "How long was that woman like that?"
"Umm...uhh...two years." She said nervously. I looked at her infuriated,"Why in the world-"
"I know what your thinking-what's the purpose of doing that- it is very preposterous."
"Because it is!"
"And I am sorry."
"Don't tell me this...you said that there was problems with the door to the other side for you?" I sighed.
"Yes, it wouldn't let me through the door." She said clearly frustrated.
"Do you know how the doors work?" I asked kind of curious if she actually knew.
"Kinda... I think I do."
"Did you try to go through the enter door?"
"Which one is enter?"
"Judas priest, the one that says eísodos (entrance)."
"Ohh, that one let me try it quick." She said and then a huge spirit door appeared with the huge word eísodos carved on it in fancy cursive lettering. She reached out and grabbed the huge iron curved handle with a hopeful and tight grip. Getting ready too shove it with all her might; she pushed it really hard and it didn't open.
"That's very weird." I said very perplexed. "Ok I am going to use the key I received from the King. So I'm going to need you to keep your gate open for me."
"Alright let's try." She said with hope in her eyes. I carefully removed the key pendent that was around my neck. The key was quite small but the reason it was special is that the key has part of a spirit attached to it with the big gem on its center.

I stuck the key into the key hole on the door open the other side. The door clicked which means it was unlocked.
"Alright try it now." I said. She glanced at me and she nodded. She yet again grabbed hold of the curved iron handle and pushed it open with ease. I looked at her and smiled and I said,"I, Cathrine Anglos, invite you personally into the realm of souls; there are two paths you have to choose from that determine where you shall spend the rest of your spirit life, good luck." She then left into the familiar light to me. Beyond that light I have no idea what happens then after because I can't see beyond it. The door was rapidly fading away until it was air once again.
