The two detectives hear the front door to number 7 open up, even over the top of the heavy rain that show’s absolutely no sign of letting up. ‘Come on then Rowena now is the time for you to put all of your training into action. I shall follow your lead.’ Without any acknowledgement to her partner, she opens the gate and walks up the path that leads to the front door and on each side of the path stands flowers very proud considering the heavy hammering they’re receiving from the heavens.

Detective Sanders is at the front door first with detective Winchester standing behind for support which she finds comforting and yet slightly off putting. ‘Mr Anderson my name is detective Rowena Sanders and this is my colleague Detective Oliver Winchester.’ The two detectives held out their credentials for Richard to see. ‘May we come in?’ After the slightest look at the badges Richard stepped to one side and lifted his arm as a welcoming gesture, giving permission for the pair to enter.
