Chapter Two

Juno could only see the grey eyes on top of her through the clear gaps in her glasses - the rare ones where they weren't covered entirely in soil.
"Hell, I'm sorry Sinclair," came the voice of Sirius Black, who pushed himself off her, leaving her body colder, except of course where soil was draped over her robes.
Sirius was echoed by the cackling of James Potter from behind, and the shocked faces of the rest of his usual gang, as he offered the witch his hand and pulled her to her feet.
Juno spat a great deal of dirt out of her mouth instantly, ridding her mouth of the remainder as quickly as possible.
"Hold my glasses, would you?" She asked, looking at the nervous looking boy before her, who kept running a hand through his hair.
He nodded quickly, and Juno could barely see more than a blur of colours once she removed her glasses and placed them haphazardly in the hands of Sirius. She brushed the soil off her face and gave a quick shake of her head, before raking her hands down her body to rid her robes of the dirt.
Juno thrust her hand out before her blindly, feeling Sirius quickly place her glasses in her open palm, which allowed her to smoothly place them on her face, and regain vision of the situation.
It appeared that everyone else had returned to preparing for the class, and all that remained before her was the boy with the dark hair and worried grey eyes.
"Honestly I'm so sorry Sinclair," he uttered. "I must seem like such a dick now, I didn't mean to do that."
Juno cracked a smile at him. "Honestly, don't worry about it. Things like that happen easily and it's really just as much my fault than yours."
"Sinclair, you don't have to be so nice about it."
"You're allowed to call me Juno," she spoke.
Sirius rolled his eyes at the witch. "Fine then Juno. I'm sorry for knocking you down and getting soil all over you, and you don't have to forgive me so easily."
"Trust me Sirius, I wouldn't forgive you as easily if you had done something actually bad. Shall we just get on and do class?"
Sirius shook his head and grinned, picking up the large bag of half emptied by Juno's fall, and grabbing a whole extra one for himself and placing them on the nearest bench.
It had appeared that during the ordeal, Peter Pettigrew had moved to Juno's normal seat beside Angela, leaving Sirius and Juno without partners for the lesson.
"Suppose we're working together now," said Juno, making eye contact through her glasses, which she noticed Sirius had taken it upon himself to clean whilst she brushed dirt from herself.
"Yeah, looks like it," he laughed, somewhat nervous in his demeanour.
Juno looked up towards the chalkboard at the front of the room, swiftly reading the instructions and pulling on her thick gloves as she walked towards the unaccompanied tentacula plant in the corner.
As she began to add soil to the pot, Sirius fell into place beside her.
"So, Juno, interesting name."
She glanced over at him, "Speak for yourself, can't exactly say Sirius is what I'd continue normal."
"Touché. How blind are you really then? Glasses seemed pretty thick when I was cleaning them."
"Sufficiently," said Juno, keeping a cautious eye on the movement of the plant before her. "It seemed to just get worse with age, rather frustrating to be completely honest, particularly when I go home and can't use magic to keep the water off them in the shower. It's surprisingly difficult to pick the shampoo when all you see is a blur."
Sirius let out an awkward chuckle, suddenly quite unsure of what he had to say next - rather surprising himself due to his usual confident nature.
However, there was no awkward silence which lapsed more than a few moments, as Sirius let out a loud curse word.
Juno's eyes had watched in mild fascination as the tentacula had extended itself towards the distracted Gryffindor and wrapped its way around his bicep.
Speaking over the continued stream of rather shocking language, Juno cast a quick (and harmless to the plant) charm to get it to unlatch from the boys arm.
"Nice language," she spoke, a glinting in her eye. "Truly, I hadn't heard a few of those before. Where'd you get some of that?"
Sirius looked entirely astounded at her relaxed nature.
"Juno," shouted Angela. "Get your things, class is over and I don't want to be late to dinner, Callie won't save any of those good rolls again."
Pulling off her gloves, Juno looked at Sirius. "She's not wrong. Callie can be quite aggressive with those rolls. See you later Sirius."
With a final wave, Juno headed off, not feeling the bemused eyes that tracked her as she grabbed her bag and hurried out of the greenhouse, calling out to Angela to wait up.
When the girls finally reached the Great Hall, they slid into the centre of the table surrounded by the other sixth years.
"Hey ladies, how was Herbology?" Andrew asked, grinning at the new arrivals from behind his brown curls.
"Juno got down and dirty with Sirius Black," said Angela, raising her eyebrows as she pulled several dinner rolls onto her plate.
Andrew, Allison and Henry all nearly spat out their dinner.
"Down and dirty with Sirius Black? Andrew you dirty dog," Said Callie, grinning as she slid down beside the boy at the table.
"Not Andrew," chuckled Henry, shaking his head. "Juno, apparently."
Juno shook her head. "You're all idiots. He knocked me down to the ground while I was carrying a bag of dirt that's all. And then Angela here ditched me for Pettigrew so he became my partner."
Allison nodded. "No matter how the class went, especially with that lack of good gossip. I was talking to Lucy before, are we all up for a little herbology of our own this evening?"
"Shh," whispered Andrew, leaning in towards the centre of the table. "There are children around."
Allison looked pointedly at her twin brother. "Andrew, Herbology is a school subject, don't be silly. There's nothing wrong with studying a subject that we don't take, Juno and Angie are so desperate to learn more and we must do our best to help them."
"Well," said Juno. "I'm always up for a little more Herbology in my life."
