Zanfa sat down in the surveillance room sipping coffee while watching the video feeds from the Battery. He saw a feed of particular interest and typed something into the keyboard to switch it into watch mode.

On the screen, there was a man in a white lab coat gesturing to a round band of metal. Zanfa chuckeled as he watched this.

Silly humans. Little do they know that dimension travel is impossible if it is done within the Battery. That's why you're called batteries in the first place. All of you have a small piece of a major shard.

The portal glowed with light. When a small red thing shot out of it, Zanfa almost spit out his coffee. He quickly swallowed it and pressed the manager call button on his control pad. There was a small ding as the light above the screens glowed.

A few seconds later, a woman wearing a tight black jumpsuit with yellow accents came in. She pressed a button on her keyport.

Before the woman could speak, Zanfa said " Emergency code S1"

The manager's eyes widened with fear as she quickly typed something on the keyboard. She replayed the video over and over until she brought up her keyport and rapidly said " Alert the committee. Raise a lockdown warning on the Battery and the systems around it. Don't let any world hopper get in or out from the area. The second strike has come."

Zenfa didn't waste any time. She sat on her computer and sent out a warning letter to all registered keyports.

He realized something as he was typing. He switched the view from a close up view into the view of the solar system. He spotted a small metallic ship near Mars, so he signalled the manager.

" Um, excuse me, miss, there seems to be an unidentified space craft flying dangerously close to the Battery." Zanfa stated after taking a sip from her coffee.

The woman turned her head. She took a picture with her keyport and quickly dashed out of the room. Zanfa typed in a few strings of code and tried to spy on the ship from the inside using an ionized particle, but the ship had near uncrackable firewalls. He'd have to try to find a way to slip through that.

He typed in a long string of code and hit the enter button. His computer turned black and there were three words being typed in from the other side.

This means war.
