Just Married.
One year anniversary!
The caption was short but spoke volumes to me as I gazed at the photo with a small smile.
I'd taken my girlfriend to the restaurant we'd met at all those years ago.
She was happy.
We are happy.
I love her, I love her so much.
I smile as she walks over and plants a kiss on my cheek.
" You find any good photos?" She asked as she looked over my shoulder, her beautiful green eyes taking in the photo from our first anniversary dinner.
" Yes, I found the ones that I like. You can look through them if you like." I replied, fingers delicately brushing her ginger hair behind her ear.
" First anniversary photo....very nice. " She said as she sat on my lap, scrolling through the photos.
Five wonderful years! I love you, princess!
A small smile made its way onto her lips as she gazed at the photo. I'd taken her ice skating that year, my hand holding hers so she wouldn't fall. She looked so cold, which she was at the time, but every time she'd say she was I'd always pull her closer and kiss her cheek, saying it'd warm her up.
" You have good taste." She murmured, blushing when I kissed her cheek.
" Which is why you're marrying me." I said as I motioned to the photo she was on.
Engaged!
The photo brought a smile to my face. The photo was taken a few months ago, it was me kissing her cheek and holding her hand up to the camera to show off the ring.
" It's not the only reason that I'm marrying you." She said as she turned to me, wrapping her arms around my neck as she gazed at me with those beautiful eyes.
" Then what's the other reason?" I asked playfully as I gingerly placed my hands on her hips.
" Hm... you're handsome, charming.....a major goofball...." She placed a gentle kiss on my lips every time she named off something.
" But mostly because I love you." She replied before kissing me again, longer this time.
" I love you too." I said as I returned the gentle kiss.

Just married. Read the banner hanging from the doors of the white church.
The chaos from the wedding that had gone on previously was still very evident as nobody had come to clean it up yet.
Just married. Said the signs that surrounded the church.
Just married. Said the smashed back windshield of the car.
" It's a shame is what it is.... Their lifetime of happiness taken away by something as simple as a flat tire." The cop said as the cleanup crew began to load the car onto the back of a truck.
" They promised to love each other till death do they part....who knew that it would come so soon..." The second police officer said, watching as the truck began to drive away with the car on the back.
The now cracked and bloody words sprawled on the back making a shiver run up his spine.
Just married.
