My toes curl around the edge of the platform. The wind tugs at my clothes, trying to drag me down. Down. Darkness swallows everything. A faint light glows from below. Pale outstretched reach from the darkness. The shove at my back and I fall. I fall. Gravity drags me into an embrace. The wind cradles my body as I am pulled down into the light. 

I spiral down deeper into the light. It glows brighter as I drop closer. The light caught me and blinds me.

I open my eyes to a bright blue sky. The ground rises up. I spread my wings and down stroke. I begin to rise into the crisp air. The clouds grow dark and the icy wind grips my wings. It yanks me back down, tossing me around on the unfriendly air currents. I fall. The ground rises up. I spiral down helplessly.

The steady beep turns into a long drone.
